Star Wars: ships rapidly evolve to become almost obsolete antiques in a couple decades. Also Star Wars: ships over 3000 years ago were as good or better.

the only thing I think of looking at this thing is that they took the nose of an SR-71 blackbird, widened it, and built a space ship out of it. Not that I'm complaining because hey, everyone loves the Blackbird.

This is the ship I steal from the Empire as my personal ship, small crew = nice breach/assualt/clear But I'd star by replacing the drone in secret and if that went well it would be easy to smash, grab, flee with my identity concealed.

One of my main problems with Star Wars is that technology never seems to be improving or being developed, the tech in the old republic and the tech of the new republic are pretty much the same, a bit worse if anything

a bit late to respond but....so what? with how advance technology is in star wars (FTL travel and communication, super realistic AI, antigravity, etc) it is that hard to conceive they simply hit a technological plateau? just because technology continues to advance, it dose not mean it will do so forever- at some point, there won't be anything significant to advance . simply put, it seems to me that in star wars they hit a limit on what technology can do and they were left with simply improving upon existing tech for millennia. i mean, what else do you want even? transporters? time travel?

Sounds like the ship Lando would have built, newer tech a given, after losing the Falcon to Han. Seriously, you are the chief admin of a highly profitable gas mining colony, you are going to be paid more than enough to build the "DB-9 of spaceships" for yourself. That said the Phantom looks weirdly more like a Star Trek vessel. Might be the much more refined looking design.
