Somewhere deep in some untrodden part of an american forest there is an old ramshackle cabin, crusted with the moss and grime of decades. In that cabin there is an old TV with a vcr. All that plays on that TV is this commercial, sometimes forwards, sometimes backwards, sometimes fast and sometimes slow. And even in the dead of night all that can be heard is the unhallowed verse of 'I'm a little lad for berries and cream...'
Anyone else feel a slightly different emotion each time they watch this. Sometimes humour, sometimes terror. Or am I just mentally ill? Side note: Istg this lad must exist in the same universe as the Little Babie's Ice-cream creature
they do exist in the same universe. for a long time, they were arch-rivals, but after little baby’s closed down in 2019, they decided to make amends. now they’re best friends and roommates, even if the little lad does occasionally chase the ice cream being around with a spoon and threaten to eat him. it’s all in good fun. [or is it?..]
When I was a little lad If I wanted berries and cream, Mummy made me do the little lad dance. Now mummy’s gone, but I still like to do the little lad dance. And you might too! You just run in place. The implication of mummy's death, the complete lack of background music with the sound of cars driving by, the littlest lads, the song and dance, the cuts from little lad saying "easy", "easy breezy", etc to him doing a little dance multiple times and him just talking to himself for a bit at the end makes this ad a blend of hilarious and ominous LOL
