Best-of-3 series of professional StarCraft 2 between Dark and PartinG. This series was played in the ESL Open Cup for the North American server. In this match of SC2 the Protoss player decides to play old-school strategies versus one of the best Zergs in the world.

@@OurMadUniverse Yeah, and since they're convicts, hopped up on stimpacks, trapped in sweaty suits all day, smoking cigars, and running around the battlefield non-stop, I can't imagine it smells good in there. I'd be surprised if they can still smell anything. It's probably the Zerg that smell them lol

Problem is, they are a huge investment for very little reward. The opportunity cost is just to high for them to be viable, if he coukd have that game back, i wonder if he would rather have sentries, or say a couple of immortals

I like the void opener for toss if it goes and kills the farther overlord then catches the one closest to the toss bases for 2 kills, but ooof, that miss from focusing on the harass hurts

Lowko always talked about how it’s better to skip first scouting overlord and kill the others so the Zerg player doesn’t have time to pull them back home, but freaks out when parting goes past the first overlord lol

If they build phoenix, the zerg stops building mutas and trades them out to make ground. And then what are you going to do with the phoenixes when the zergling flood comes?

The thing about building counterplay for it, is you have to be entirely proactive or it's already obsolete. That's why they scout early game with probes/drones/scv's. By the time you try to even THINK to start building a counter to Mutas, they already started making their ground army so now you have useless Phoenixes. Scouting also happens when you harass the mineral lines.
