It would be really cool to eventually see Reynor start picking random in tournaments. Seeing the pros have to scramble to figure out what they're playing against would be really funny!

About the armor upgrade over shields, Terran players' favorite MOBA unit has a tendency to make shields vanish so they aren't as good as in other matchups.

10:21 I think marines have their stimpacks and shields from the start of the game, although those aren't certified for use yet, and research is in fact a certification process. Once it is complete, marines are told that they are free to use those and they get it from their backpacks. Also it explains why you have do these researches every game again and again: you have to recertify those items for conditions of a new planet.

dude this was the most intense match up in a while, im always rooting for Raynor and beating top EU top terran with prots was great to watch. HeroMarine is unbelievably skilled, well played both for sure. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Reynor as a toss is scary. He has the mind of a zerg and playing toss, its insane.

That pick up/blink micro with the stalkers and warp prism at 33:33 was beautiful

I'm picturing reynor in an 80s training montage furiously hitting keys playing protoss and working out his finger muscles while "push it to the limit" plays in the background. At the end of the montage he's the greatest all around sc2 player of all time.

I just think it's great to see Reynor taking on other pros with his alt race, this just shows that it is possible to win and the so called imbalance despite the new patch, actually is quite fair.

Imma be honest, seeing Reynor playing protoss is the best please only cast this type of games.

I think it's worth noting that this stalker at 30:42 killed 6 SCVs after 4 minutes. That cost a lot of economy this early on and can snowball pretty hard. That's 6 out of possibly 30 SVCs, so 20% less than it should be.

The fact that can't exist a Reynor vs Reynor ZvP is a shame

Not having ever really played the game or followed the cannon this was how I was introduced to the name “Reynor” only while searching for his old games did I run into the character with the same name confused - I was to find this character was not, in fact a Zerg changeling but a Hero Marine!!

Considering the amount of mistakes Reynor is making and still beating the likes of HeroMarine he could become absolutely terrifying when he cleans up his Protoss even more. Great games to have the pleasure of viewing. I've often wondered why armour is considered better than shields in upgrades when using Protoss, since most Protoss players retreat units once they lose shields so you'd imagine it would be better to have more hitpoints on them?

10:20 - Maybe it's like Metroid Other M, and the marines have the shields and stimpacks on them already but require authorization from command to use them in the field, and the research time and cost is to send a transmission requesting that authorization. Actually, considering the incompetence and corruption of most Terran powers in the Koprulu Sector, I can totally buy that a lot of Terran units have their upgrades on-hand and ready to use, but are forbidden from using them to like, save money or whatever. Would explain Siege Tanks having Siege Mode automatically researched now, and why Reapers got cheaper, less-powerful grenades they can't spam as often.

34:30 ~ A pro? Paying attention to the mini map? Inconceivable

People are very quick to count the game as 'figured out' but then someone like Reynor takes a Zerg mentality and just proves that income is king. That was always Zergs strongest point was how fast they could mine and income. When you apply that to something like Protoss with just Zealots (the single strongest early game unit) and stalkers its kind of insane. I love this idea. This really does show the pure irritation of Terran's ability to move everywhere at any point in time.

Peak SC2 at this rate looks like it would be players not knowing what their opponents will pick. Like a MOBA or something but 1v1. Then again, it's only Reynor so far that can do it.

Assuming Reynor actually spent more time with protoss and zerg against Dominion, his faction choise is quite accurate

The reason marines can't pull out the combat shield before it is researched is because the suits are made by Tesla. All the required hardware is onboard, but you have to pay for the upgrade before it becomes available. Some things just never change.

I'm only diamond level but I'm a big fan of keeping a high templar or two back on drop defense, feedbacking and destroying a whole drop force by itself sometimes ;p

Serious question here: How does race picks work in SC tourneys? Can they switch races between games or only after a loss like fighting games or are they locked in for the whole match?

I remmber back in the day when serral used to be the one true god... Lowko would introduce Serral being mechnanically good wheras Reynor was the up coming guy more of a ' killer instinct'. Its great to see the killer instinct brought to protoss gameplay.. I mean the guy amost always blinks forward into the action.. these are the makings of a future protoss titan.

I honest think those PRO Protoss should start building Pylon and Shield battery everywhere on the map...Not just main base!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again! Tha k you so much Lowko casting this game that makes 100% CLEAR that Blink need to be removed because it's way too OP! This game doesnt show Zerg but it's the equivalent of how infestors arr way too OP with Fungal growth being able to touch ground AND AIR!! What a nonsense if you watched Lowko's real size unit video. And again the infestors with neuro parasite taking controle of units that need more then one men (neuro means controle of the brain) which means that it should never be able to touch air (way too far) and anything that needs more then 1 human to make work (good example is : tanks which need at least 2 people)! Same logic with Vypers and their abduct ability that can move eveything except a mothership. But Carriers or tempest or BC makes absolutely no sense!

Hey Lowko, I am a big fan. Have you cast any matches of HeroMarine winning? You often talk about how incredible of a player he is, but my memories are only of match loses that you have cast - maybe do something to rectify that? Or maybe I owe you an apology, and I just have a selective memory.
