0:52, this sound was used in I believe the Webway Gate of Eldar from Warhammer. So, that's why this sound was so familiar when I first played this Starcraft 2.
Sc1 is the perfect game if they fixed the pathing i mean i engage then suddenly one of my units are on the other side of the map and some are spinning around
Like in Protoss sound Effect :0:51 Like in Terran Sound Effect : all above Like in Zerg Sound Effect : No because is more like a Extraterrestial Creatures
I just noticed the originals / BW have a lot more sharper sounds compared to their SC2 counterparts which tend to be more atmospheric. So no, it's not that BW have structures ""better"" sounds, SC2 chose practicality and gameplay over having stand out ones that can end up being distracting when mixed in with other SFX in the background
Well, I don't agree that they chose either "Practicality" nor "gameplay" because sound effects that are impossible to remember are neither. They chose """"realism"""" in terms of their bland sound design. A game with unmemorable sounds is a game that's not particularly memorable.
@@KaiserMattTygore927 True words, i can remember every sound of every building in SC1, but nearly no sound in sc2, cause they feel, if they sound really similar and no sound is "unique" or worth to remember.
I have very sensitive ears, so the sharp effects of the SC1 building sounds are actually painful. The SC2 ones are much better to me for that reason alone.
@@KaiserMattTygore927 I've been playing a few matches of SC2 here and there and it shocks me how bad the sound design is. Not just the orginality but the clarity of it too. I can be attacked by mutalisks and barely hear them even as I have them on screen...
