this. this makes me sad. literally all the defeats, whether they be cartoon, remastered, or original, they make me suffer with how they look, the feeling they portray, and I feel terrible. good job to each of the artists.
@@darassylmoniakam Well, Starcraft was supposed to be dark & weird you know. Dark because of the story that makes you feels somewhat unsettled, and weird because of 90s sci-fi was quiet like that. That was why the game captured so much hearts back then. Its only natural for them to looks bland, dark, and weird because they're in a big war between races you know.

He got those round friendly eyes that looks like he really wants to help while the new protoss almost always looks angry and ready to kill someone I don't really get how you can't see that????? 2:00 just look at him he looks like a nice friend to me😊😊😊😊😍
Imagine if Red Alert 2/3had victory and defeat illustrations as well. Like for example soviets victory screen is of a battalion of apocalpyse tanks and fleets of kirovs going through the city While the defeat screen is of a destroyed,bullet ridden apocalypse tank with burning kirovs falling from the sky

(that one overlord in the background though): Ahhh, the perfect lighting and heat for a tan. Protoss cartooned: "call the fire department! also I just fell out of a burning building please help me" Like I still get the bad feeling from them... But (besides zerg) it feels more like a natural disaster than a fight/war/skirmish/whatever although zerg still feels a bit more lighthearted with that one overlord in the background
They have to layers, one is the glass, the other to protect you from other things, look at Raynor in the Heroes of the Storm cinematic, that shows the layer that his skull theme.
You know I never realized this until now but the original game's DEFEAT screens really didn't depict the idea correctly. Except for the Zerg getting nuked, which is pretty much exactly the same. I'm okay with the artistic changes for the Protoss and Terran loss screens because it conveys failure more accurately, with the dead and wounded characters. Really though, I don't agree with all the people who like the original the best - not at all. As far as remasters go, this is among the best they possibly could have done to the game. The new art looks AMAZING and it's extremely loyal to the source material. Anyone who resists this evolution must be destroyed. Unwavering, die-hard nostalgia is illogical. Fight me. Die. Change must never stop. Change is survival. Stay still, die.
Partially agree. Graphic upgrade is a must, I can agree on that one. But the remastered version is a bit too cartoony, I want a more gloomy, a darker depiction.
Fábio Costa no just Starcraft WoW was made differently how I don’t remember but it was not completely inspired off of warhammer maybe of few bits here and there but not entirely

Remastered does look artwork-ish compared to original which look more realistic and also kinda washed out. They should've just up res them instead of redraw them. I really like the Remastered Zerg victory screen tho.
@@cruelangel1516 Agree, i think it is the best of them ... The terran victory Rm is kind of ... with the human face and not dirty enought and dark, the protoss victory just looks like animation. THe best of the RM is Zerg victory by far ... than probally zerg lose though the Terran and Protoss loss doesnt look bad, but just doesnt look right ...
@@cristhianmlr the original looks like a dark sci fi world, you actually believe it. RM is pretty much the direction they took in Starcraft 2 which was WoW in space. I mean protoss look like elves, when they are more of an ancient like-predator dangerous race. Also the original terrans actually look like real inmates, the RM are stereotypic tough marines with shiny armor.

@@stormpants1638 Actually i posted before seeing the cartooned one XDD ... I can agree that the cartooned one looks really nice ,funny and cool... But is it the best? Subjectivity ... Sure it looks fresh but for how long ? Can we agree that the irginal looks way better than the RM ? Why is the orginal the best? Because it has the most detaills... The Cartoon one has some nice details but lacks the darkness of the orginal and their is not so much colour diffusion... I would sign that the cartooned looks better than the Rm ... Because the RM looks so shiny and blinky ... But it is subjectivity and psych state that defines that ...

I think the new artsyle is amazing but something must be said for the original. It captures the grittiness that the original StarCraft really went for in the story. In a way the cold dead eyes and the more skeletal bodies of the Zerg make them scarier and bring to mind the Xenomorph from Alien. The new fleshy design has more detail but looks oddly generic. The blank emotionless faces of the Protoss helped them feel alien. Jim Raynor looked like shaved Jack Black from Nacho Libre.
@@cruelangel1516 Refunded was a disaster. After a lot of backlash Blizzard has went through, I'm kinda surprised they keep tumbling over their own feet.
