I am the same age as the original StarCraft and I still remember those golden times. This game has always been an important part of me and this song specifically, pops up from time to time. Yes, this game has had its ups and downs throughout it's very long lifespan but to those if us who've loved it from the beginning, it's much more than just a game.

Yeah, me too bro. I can't help it, just always enjoy christmas more with some starcraft. I just reloaded the old game on my portable work box and in a week of breaktime with starcraft I'm at the final Protoss mission. Haven't lost my touch, in fact you could say I vintaged a bit. Aaah, back when i had respect for Blizzard. I listen to this song every year - as well as the Christmas version of the WOW gnomes where they go to Northrend When this song first came out, I could never hear "5 newborn Queens" and it got to the point where I actually mailed their support line - and they actually answered. I miss that Blizzard.

Marcus Strindlund Their line is supposedly "5 newborn queens" but I wouldn't be able to tell if they deviated like the archons, bc I can't hear them at all. But the youtube description has the un-messed-with lyrics.
I still love to come back every year! Listening to this song since 2000 or so. Thank you to whoever at Blizzard got this song going, thanks to all voice actors involved, and thanks to StarCrafts for animating it a decade and a half later! Thank you for everything you did for StarCraft, Carbot. I wish things weren't going this way with the franchise and with Blizzard, but you've done a lot for us fans. Much love.
Keen observers will note that this audio is actually from Starcraft I, not II (the giveaway is the 12 Arbiters, the only unit in the song NOT to make it to Starcraft II). Consequently, those should be flying, non-egg laying Queens but eh, whatever, better to stick to what we're used to. Besides, the old Queens were even uglier than the SCII ones.
ArcaneAzmadi Incorrect. the arbiter did in fact make it to StarCraft 2 alpha. it was removed when someone said "wasn't Aldaris the last Judicator?" so they removed it, as in the lore the arbiter is only piloted by Judicators (Members of the Conclave, the old Khalai civilian leaders

10 years ago, and i only just discovered this today. I've known the song for as long as it's existed, but i should have known there would be a carbot video for it. Amazing work as always, been subscribed for about 8 years now
What's great is I remember when this song was released years ago and there was actually a discussion somewhere about what they were saying because no one could understand them. I am so glad Carbot hit really hard on the part of the song.
