As an ambassador for the Ultimate Sebastian Lovers' Fanclub, I have never thought of divorcing him.... He is the best husband. We have an almost perfect marriage, two beautiful children, a spacious, developing farm. I am happy and have no reason to divorce him!
BUT!!! I am a curious person! I looked online to see if anyone else had posted the cutscenes online so that I WOULDN'T have to go through the heartache of.... divorcing him. And turns out, nobody has posted these cutscenes online.... so, here I am. Taking one for the team....
Nobody will understand the PAIN I went through to compile this video. I obviously have good relations with Robin, Sam, and Abigail so right after the divorce, I saw the happy version with all three of them. But let me tell you, I had to go out of my way to ruin my friendships with them and when I saw the version where none of them like you, with Abigail pounding at my door....
My heart HURT. IT HURT.
Sebastian would definitely take our divorce as a sign to move to the city and never look back. And that thought hurts me.

IVE ONLY MARRIED SEBASTIAN... I didnt include it in the video but when I went to visit Lewis to file the divorce papers, I literally just stood there for five minutes staring at my screen. AND THEN... the SECOND I walked out of his house, I saw Sebastian walking right past me towards the beach. He said smt to me, idr what but it was really cute and I havent been the same ever since 😢 him walking past me after i filed for divorce broke my spirit

Yall, Abigail has a right to be mad that her best friend is so upset about a divorce that he literally won't step outside of his room. Like think about that for a second. If your best friend was like that, don't tell me you wouldn't be pissed at the other party. Also she was only pissed when she was below 5 hearts. If you're not close to your divorced spouse's friends, ofc they're gonna be mad at you.

I might be pissed at them but I'm not going to show up on their doorstep and yell at them when I have no idea why the divorce actually happened, ESPICIALLY if I don't know them well. I think the real reason people are mad is because of the audacity it takes to come to someones house and insult them when you don't even know what happened.

I also wouldn't insult them if they didn't want to talk about it with me, as it's not my relationship and I'm not entitled to know personal details about it if they don't want to tell me. All I'm saying is people are annoyed at Abigail because she handled this very childishly by automatically villainizing the farmer when she didn't know what happened.

@@angrybudgie96 I'm not exactly upset. And people love drama because people love to hate someone. Real or fake. That's why people are cursing Abby because right now she's filling the role of the character you love to hate (which is very out of character to her in the game, in my opinion, but a lot of mods get her personality wrong so you know). The point is, the drama is what makes her unlikeable here, so having a more mature and healthy cutscene would portray her better, but be less entertaining. It's a situation where you have to weigh the options of "Should Abby's character suffer to keep the player entertained, or should I remain consistent but have the player a little more bored?"

Very good. Even tho we have something like that in vanilla, where our ex doesn't let us get close to them again after divorce, it's just isn't it. Especially when you can undo that by literally erasing their memory. I would really like it if hurting someone's feelings would be something that could "ruin" our save fully.

Below 5 hearts, Abigail barely knows you, she is impulssive and probably already has issues about pierree being an asshole ,then suddenly one of her closest friend that was finally happy and starting to open up to the rest, just came back to be all reserved or even worst than before because of us,so yeah she has reasons to be angry and she just act before think, which why she just appear out of nowhere to yell at us

Sebastian has a few friends and close himself in his room. When he opens his heart for your and them you get it crushed, he again lock himself from the world as protection. Depression should hit harder this time and the feeling that everything will be the same and everyone will be bad for him will remain.

You're a stronger person than I am. I've married Seb in every save I ever played in this game and I am fully incapable of divorcing him. In the future, though, if you want to have a peek at stuff like this without having to traumatise yourself, one way is to download the mod, open the dialogue files in Notepad+ or another text editor and just read the lines. It's not the same as gameplay obviously but you do spare yourself the agony.

There are some moments in the game that prove that before our farmer moved to Pelican that two had something going between them. At least Abby was liking Seb for sure, since if you marry and divorce her, one of her post - divorce phrases would be "I was pretty close with Sebastian before you came. I suppose I made the wrong decision".

@@rinkito. Ive always felt the crush was more on Sebastian's side. There are more lines from different characters early game hinting he likes her but she only says that line about him if you mistreat her to no hearts after marriage so its a very circumstantial line. Personally I see it more as her feeling regret about her choices about you and wondering if he would have treated her better since he had liked her too, not that she actually liked him. Just my opinion though.

I was thinking about all of the plausible real-life reasons one could have to get a divorce and why Abigail might be overreacting and then realized Sebastian doesn't do anything abusive to you in vanilla as a spouse... so ABIGAIL IS JUSTIFIABLY OUT FOR BLOOD unless something changes his post-marriage behavior. Abigail isn't my favorite NPC but like, she's not exactly wrong. She does need to chill outwardly a bit but the Abigail slander is unwarranted

@@calico_queen8976 If someone did that to one of my friends, obviously I would be upset, but it's about the fact Sebastian has locked himself in his room and isn't talking to anyone, therefore there's no way for them to know if the divorce was really "out of the blue" or not. Imagine that you file for divorce after experiencing a troubled relationship and then have to deal with your ex's rude and impulsive friends? This is too much. Luckily, this is just a mod... for a game. They did Abigail dirty, tho.

Like the first 2 years after I got stardew I never divorced any of the npcs… then I fell out of the game and when I came back I went on a quest to become the next dangerously funny, and cheat on everyone with everyone, divorce everyone, and wipe there memories

@voidtjl She is Sebastian's friend, and their relationship is still platonic, even after marriage. She has every right to interfere and so does Sam. All three of them are literally a trio, dude, it's understandable. I bet you wouldn't say Sam needed to learn his place. Both of them care about Sebastian, and if you didn't expect at least any amount of reaction from either of then that's your problem, dude. She doesn't interfere until after the divorce, and cares about how you made Sebastian feel. That's what an actual friend is.

@@vampireeculturee Real. She’s also kinda selfish and annoying. Everyone always shits on my personal favorite bachelorette, Penny. I’ve heard either that she’s boring (doesn’t have colored hair) or “they felt like they were just wanting to save her and that’s not a good reason to marry someone.” It’s a video game. You can absolutely marry someone because it feels like you’re saving them in a VIDEO GAME.

@@justsomekid8455 Aw, I’m not trying to hurt feelings lol! I understand Abigail has some interesting aspects to her cut scenes like being the only time you get to play 2-player Journey of the Prairie King. I just feel like her “story” is pretty unreasonable where she’s the good guy for lashing out at her dad (even if he is Pierre lol). And I get a little salty because Abigail fans always seem to be Penny haters, too, and Penny definitely feels like the victim in her situation. Plus, she takes on a role as caretaker and teacher for the children, which I find noble and good.

I'm down to record the divorce cutscenes for both of them once the mod is updated!! the mod said the scenes are being modified so I'd rather just wait for the finished product
