I've never seen retro production done this well before. The attention to detail is stunning, even down to the dot crawl. Whether it's all digital effects or vintage hardware, it's a triumph!

Post-nuclear war kids TV hour. With music by Paul Giavanni from Wicker Man. So nostalgic. That slighty untuned static white noise. Makes me want to press the BBC2 TV knob and turn it everso slightly to the right.
Wonderful! For some reason, after watching this with my four year old she has not been sleeping well, I think she needs to watch a little bit more Quentin before bedtime. Ta ta
Used to put a lot of work and a lot of love into children's telly in those days, and Stare with Mother was a fine example. But today's critics typically dismiss it as "sugary pap", "insipid and predictable" etc.
I'm enjoying imagining a War Of The Worlds scenario where advanced aliens almost wipe out mankind but in the 11th hour instead of bacteria killing them they stumble on this QTV video and since the creatures in the video just happen to exactly depict their gods/deities the aliens are so shocked that they leave Earth out of fear and/or respect.
Yes, And for some strange reason they always dragged a chair out of the kitchen to sit in the middle of the garden and stare in bewilderment at the latest work of the devil.
