Quick story before my question: I want to have a outpost "home outpost" for every resource in the game. I wanted 1 system to hold them all. I had extraction outpost all over but everything was going to 1 system (if that makes any sense). I got 25% done with it and decided ......... WHY AM I DOING THIS...... There is no pay off. Other than those buggy supply missions, what other reason is there for outposts......What makes you play this game every day??? P.S. My wife plays Sims everyday and she creates "head canon" situations within her game and that brings her back everyday. I don't want to resort to doing that with Starfield.
The primary reasons for outposts is 1) storage of all the stuff that you pick up and 2) you can jump to your outpost in one grav jump ignoring your ship fuel cost An outpost isn't an absolute need in game but does have some benefits.
I am starting to get into mods and this is something I am going to get into. I am not huge fan of decorating the interiors either and some themed habs would be great
I think this is a great idea. I do like doing this. But if furnished habs cost a lot of money, that would be fine and be a proper trade off for getting the resources and DIY.
