This is a very small nitpick, but I wish you had to like summon your vehicle from a console in your landing bay, just for immersion. Modders get on it lol
If you have an infinite boost mod or use the console to give yourself infinite boost it effects the buggy as well as your boost pack. They do indeed fly. Feels like driving in Halo or old tank combat and atv racing games. It feels like it rotates around a single center point. Considering the level of attention they placed in the planets' movements, this may be accurate and intentional. I was one of the ones that never thought they could pull it off but they did and it's good. I'm sure they'll take advantage of the upgrade mechanic at some point. There seemed to be an issue getting it to spawn correctly when buying in New Atlantis with mods like "Cheat Room" or the community patch. I'm sticking to my guns though. Playing for the first time at around 30 min in I said to myself this "is going to be the greatest game they've ever made". At 400 hours In, it felt empty. I realized though, how much room there is for mods and expansions. This proves it can be done. I knew it when I saw the change skin option in the workbench. We just moved into an empty house and it's going to take a few years to fill up. I'm beginning to wonder about multi player. Not sure how that would work with all the customizable aspects. Nobody playing would have identical mods and add-ons. It still seems possible with Microsoft levels of money and some limitations to solve issues. I'd be thrilled to stomp a spacer to death in a mech ether way.
Nice little showcase, thanks. couple of Qs. 1. Is there 1st person view driving it? I've not seen any vids of it in 1st person. 2. Is the 5k limit gone, or you going to run in the wall of shame when you drive in one direction 3. Are they any extra skills like vehicle handling, better weapons etc. ? 4, can you modify it, e.g. add new weapons to it?
1. Yes, first person view exist. Personally found it difficult with the crazy terrains in starfield to control. Reduced field of vision. 2. Tiles are still a thing. There are walls, I didn't hit any in the 2 hours I spent messing with the vehicle but also wasn't trying. Vehicles didn't make the tiles feel any smaller IMO. 4. I couldn't find a way to change the weapon or modify it. The 4chan leak a month ago mentioned a grenade launcher. I am guessing it wasn't ready and got dropped from this update. I suspect modders will figure it out before BGS though.
It's a shame this wasn't included in the game from the start. Just imagine how much more diverse and interesting the mission design could have been. I really hope Shattered Space fully capitalizes on this opportunity.
Sometimes you just got to launch a product as is (I think it was intended but never got finished). The small amount of shattered space footage I saw today did have a vehicle in it but I hope they continue developing the vehicle because it still doesn't feel finished.
Be careful using HUD mods. I couldn’t exit the vehicle until I got rid of the immersive HUD mod. Others have reported the same regardless of platform. Just a warning. I had to do some digging to find out what was happening.
Modders this is what we need Nintendo's F-Zero GX customisable machines it's literally the same thing as ship building but for cars Each machine handles differently, has its own performance abilities affected by its weight, and a grip, boost, and durability trait graded on an A to E (best to worst) scale. The player is able to adjust a vehicle's balance between maximum acceleration and maximum top speed. Every machine has an energy meter, which serves two purposes. First, it is a measurement of the machine's health and is decreased from accidents or attacks from opposing racers. Second, the player is given the ability to boost. Customize mode is divided between the F-Zero Shop, Garage, and Emblem Editor. The shop is where opponent machines, custom parts for vehicle creation can be purchased with tickets. Tickets are acquired as the player progresses through the Grand Prix repeatable Story mode. In the Garage section, players can create a machine with three custom parts or print emblems on any vehicle. The parts are divided into body, cockpit, and booster categories, and affect the vehicle's overall durability, maximum speed, cornering, and acceleration. The Emblem Editor lets players create decals. Bethesda Add custom driving Controls Everyone isn't a fan of the halo warthog driving controls I prefer need for speed most wanted (best 1 imo) u know LS Steer Click L Horn RS Look RT Drive LT Brake RB Fire gun LB camera pov Y Flight 😆 B Boost A Handbrake X get in/out U can already change the controls but it's limited add custom controls
I had a ton of mods installed on my XSX. Downloaded the update but my ability to interact/pickup objects and NPCs did not work. So I had to Start a new game with about half my mods activated. Took me a couple of tries to fix. We just need to accept that after every Bethesda update there's going to be bugs with mods.
I reinstalled all my mods when I first jumped back in. There was two problematic mods that I never reinstalled. It was like an hour of work to get stable enough to Livestream. I need to do a deep dive into my load order over the weekend, I am getting some minor issues still.
The Rev8 is great. It opened up the game to a new level. I spent 2 hrs on a random planet exploring, mining and scanning right from the drivers seat. Now I want to explore the universe, the way the game was intended.
@@mauricehannah427 hold the B button on the Xbox. I have heard reports that it's bugged for some people though. In that event fast traveling will also get you out.
While Bethesda may be enabling it, the fault lies on the mod authors who get verified to make paid mods and they're low quality. Bethesda could at least do better checking, but as a business it's not that it matters to them. They want to make money of course so they'll let mod authors post whatever low quality/content mods they want and charge for them. There will always be way higher quality mods for free anyways
I agree, my last check I saw a bunch of low effort things with price tags on them. It's a little bit of a Wild West phase of creations. The Bard's college expansion give me hope for larger quality projects but BGS needs to provide a little more structure to what can be monetized. At least stop people from monetizing a console command.
I guess i was wrong. I checked it on Steam and it works there too. Weird because on their site they stipulate that it cannot be transferred between platforms. They meant stores not games. I guess i will use my 1000 credits from the premium Starfield update on the Bards College now. I will definitely buy the Vulture creation on a later date like when Shattered Space gets released.
So does this mod just let you craft anything in the game? So if you want a specific gun or space suit with specific stats you just come craft it instead of praying it drops randomly? Am I understanding that?
Mongol warriors! Man this is so funny! Haha! 7:30 - WTF! That kind of bullet spam is why I cant stand vanilla combat! You are hurling missiles at them and they don't even flinch! Man, you gotta install Ascension! It's a combat game changer and makes encounters more tactical, not horrible and unrealistic like this! I loved the Inquisitor Ship Camera Overhaul mod. Although I just grav jump as I hate ship combat, I may get it. Thanks again for another awesome vid!
So there is no location specific dialogue? That is dissapointing. Some of the modded companions in Skyrim are so good and add so much to a playthrough. It will take time for Starfield companions to get better.
It's true and I don't see BGS adding it to the creation kit. It's up to modders it invest in some expensive software for the lip sync. I hope BGS is being fair on the payouts to mod creators.
@@artsensi9759 I never said that "Lyria" would have TWO Rs, I was just typing it out for pronunciation's sake. Leer-Ria" like the way the word LYRICS is said, instead of how LYRE is pronounced. So, because of the IA, it would get an ending sound of "EE-AH", So "Leer-Ee-Ah"
