Most important tip, when you get to the spacesuit area you can save and reroll as many times as you want. I’d be looking for carrying capacity, mirrored damage and the chameleon invisibility. I unfortunately didn’t know this at the time and I’m big sad. 😢

I think I’ll just take my lumps and my double mirrored damage so now I have an 8% chance of reflecting any bullet, one of the other perks I got was 25% reduced weight on resources. Besides I’ve never even finished the main storyline of skyrim, fallout 4 or rdr2. There’s just so much to do in these sandboxes. 🤝

he forgot to mention when you run into spacer ships while flying the the mantis ship. spacers will sometimes run away because they think you are the mantis. a super cool detail that makes the mantis feel more like a actually in world legend than a random piece of armor called the mantis

Another note to add to this. I happened to find a Tracker's Alliance Spacesuit in the Mantis' bathroom (connected to the mannequin room). It's got 144 phys, 112 energy, and 128 EM resistances. I'm not sure if it's a random spawn, but still worth going back to check if anyone missed it. It's worth a good amount of credits too.

There is a bug with this mission, when you push the button to raise the ship it’s not on the landing port when you go up. If this happens go back to new Atlantis, go to the technician and select view and modify ship, cycle through the ships to find the mantis ship it’s called Razorleaf then set it to home ship. It will show as the ship you had selected before so just fast travel to another galaxy then fast travel back to new Atlantis and it will then show the razorleaf on the port 👍🏼

You can also just use an AMP and sprint straight through the puzzle and hit the door open button as quick as possible.

I restarted my game, and currently on One Small Step, while exploring the base on Kraat, bottom floor of steps leading to the roof, I CAREFULLY unlocked the doors to "Testing 01" in the back of the room is a safe that needs picks. Inside was a legendary Pistol "Frenzy Rattler" that had extended mag, radioactive and frenzy... lucky I save my game before opening the safe, so I tried the reroll two more times with the same rolls... Legendary effects do stack, I applied 2 liquid cooled to a set with console commands and got the +50 thermal resistance instead of just +25. Tested bolstering and got +200 DR and -100% damage with 2x sentinel although I’m not sure how often it procs or what the duration and/or cooldown is cause I take no damage for about 5 seconds with both sentinels active.

Also if you save before entering the new ship the weapons on the top floor spawn random giving a chance of rare legendary etc some of the cases are static but the display cases are random

I got a great roll! Every piece had some form of damage reduction against different enemy types, lightened weight for weapons and resources, and O2 boosts

Chameleon is prounounced "kuh mee lee uhn" like the lizard lol just saying 😅 yea i figured this out and spammed the saves til i got good stealth and healing .i didnt know about the mercenary armour so thanks for that :) also if you put on very hard before you load into base you will get better gear drops.

You can take some AMP and run throw the puzzle, just have to hit the button at the end fast. Did not know about the armor effects been random, or the 2nd armor.

Just a quick note. Don't use the display cases or weapons wall mounts to store weapons. They all refreshed and I lost some weapons. I believe the storage chest will be fine though.

If you place weapons in the ship and they dissapear I think they just end up in the cargo hold so you won't lose them

the weapons on the display case will disappear and go back to your cargo hold if you made any changes to your ship. there will probably be a mod to fix that

From my understanding when you make changes to your ship things will disappear that you left lying around or in storages, but most will go back into your cargo hold and the items like weapons etc. will eventually respawn there too. Just have to be patient and they will show up from my experience, try not to modify the ship etc. in the mean time as it could mess it up.

Thanks for this, I know have 30% less damage from humans, you can also get buffs to carry weight and reducing the overall mass of what you are carrying by 25%, which would help alot when looting

I was wondering whether I should prioritize this quest. Sounded great but I was worried it wouldn't be worth the trip. Now, I got the data slates very early on in the main story, clearing out a space station with Sarah and not only that but I, to this moment, have like 6 of those slates (idk why I kept them). Super fast way to get this stuff, once you're free to roam, make your way to the denebola sustem immediately and choose to land somewhere in the south pole. By the time you clear a couple areas of if enemies you WILL get the mission data slate. I only had to do 1 in both playthroughs and got it. Other than jumping to the planet initially super quick way to get it done.

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! I rerolled for an hour and finally got 2 perfect pieces rolled on the manikin. I saved my game after opening the case/checking the armor and decided to try rolling a few more times. Eventually I loaded up the save I made when I got the roll I liked but to my surprise it had rerolled AGAIN! It will keep rerolling even after you open the case and view the armor. It only stops once you pick it up. So if you get a roll you like, make sure you pick it up and then save afterwards to save it as an option for you later on. I tried for 2 more hours and couldn't get the perfect roll again... so sad

@@jacobsaucier5346 it's written on my PC so I forget but I was mainly after the +40 Carey weight on one piece, +20 carry weight on another, 50% weapon carry weight, use 75% less O2 when encumbered, resources weigh 25% less. The -15% damage from human enemies is pretty good too. But yea I'd go with 2 good pieces and just switch out the third eventually

I don’t know if it’s been patched but previously you did not need to do the puzzle. Take an amp which increases your speed by 35% and then just sprint across

The turrets can be destroyed by shooting the fuel tank be hind them. Also its not insta kill if you fail the puzzle.

@@creative_terror9435 minor spoiler, but if you want to get the helmet you can buy for a certain seller, at a certain pirates starship. you'll know what i'm talking about if you already did some quest. it's random tho, so you need to wait 48 hrs everytime, to reset her stock. for the pack idk, haven't found it yet

Finished this mission last night not realizing there was a puzzle by the turrets. Grenades were my key, they took out the turrets quickly. Now that I know the reroll trick I’ll be loading a prior save before I picked up the armor and go from there, thanks for the tip!

Don't know if I was just unlucky or not, but I just couldn't get the Secret Outpost slate to drop after clearing about 4 or 5 Spacer occupied instances. It wasn't until I progressed the main quest line and went to Nova Galactic that the Slate dropped.

I found this follower in the well in new Atlantis in a bar he’s called Gideon aker he has 2 star in ballistic weapon systems and 2 star in missile weapon systems not bad for so early in the game when most crew You hire only come with one star I’m only lv11

The ship’s weapons racks are bugged at least on mine. If I put weapons in it and leave the ship when I come back they are all gone. Went back a few save points to get my stuff back after looking for it in the ships and companions inventory. Tested it a few times later and each time it ate the weapons
