I use a bed to wait for my containers to fill up. If you wait 24 hours you get the well rested XP bonus. So instead of getting 99xp you get 108xp. It’s not much but it’ll add up! 👍🏼

You don't need to walk back to your ship to unload the things you make. Just open the ship menu then go to the hold (F on PC I believe). If you are with 250m then you can transfer anything in your inventory to the ship.

I found a way to make this more efficient. Since you are waiting for resources use that time for your certifications. Fitness, Wellness, and weight training. You can be just over your max weight and sprint around a hab. Once your health is low sleep for 24 hours and rinse and repeat. 3 certs while xp/credit farming

I think the idea is having two resources in one outpost, but yeah you can find aluminum and iron in the same spot, it's just a lot harder.

One of the ways to sell a lot of these is to fly to either Jemison or Cheyenne and wait in orbit. Ships come flying by constantly and each ship usually has between 1500 and 3000 credits.

My planet scans look nothing like yours. Cobalt doesn’t show up as a mineable resource but shows up in chunks on surface. Is that a skill?

Try Bessel 3b where you rescue Barrett, 24h is 1386 UT hours on that planet and it has has Fe, AL, Ni, Co. So regular cargo links will do.

Go with the adaptive frames. Since solid storage units are iron, aluminum, and adaptive frames, your storage will expand without you having to go out of your way on collecting resources for the storage

If you can bear being low health most of the time, you don't have to transfer anything to your ship. When crafting using a workbench, it detects all your resources from your inventory, ship and even the containers that you have on your outpost, after crafting, hop on your ship and then visit all 5 trade authorities and sell. Normally, with the amount that you craft, 1 round of selling to trade auth is not enough so I land and wait at least 1 hour in venus then sell again to trade authority. I only sell to them cuz other traders doesn't have much credits to sell them to and it will end up wasting time. Hope this helps.

You can use the credit glitch with this just type it on RU-vid you can steal everything you need even the vendors credits the aircraft guy when you land on new Atlantis has 72 thousand in his chest that’s hidden underground when you take everything you need from the vendors fast travel to sol then had over to Venus sleep for 24 hrs witch is 2400 UT and that will reset the vendors chest even their credits been doing it for a couple hrs and I’m almost at 1 million. You can also buy the ships with the money you took from them and then do the glitch again to take your money back. Ya welcome.

Just pause the game, on your bottom left click your ship then press x for cargo (I don't know what button for pc) then press LB for ship inventory. Take note that you have to be within 250m to be able to transfer your stuff

Can’t wait to see when they figure out animal husbandry. That xp is insane, and requires no resources to farm. Just a lil prep work. For anyone interested, build one after you scan 2 fauna species to 100%, personally I found the “dogs” on Pyraas (3?) to have the most xp of the fauna. After you build one, do not link water or nutrients to it. As we won’t use it for resources. Simply kill the critters, walk up to the buildings console, select different resource, the go back to the one previously selected. More critters pop up. No resource input. Very efficient as I’ve been getting 116 xp per kill (well-rested & 2% food buff active). You are welcome.

The best way to get multiple elements in one area is to get as close as you can land between both boundaries which can make it less time to find usually between 2 to 10 minutes unless your like zoro then no one can help

It has to do with the scanning skill in the science tree if you don't have that you won't see the materials even though they are there just copy his location on the planet map an you'll find what you need

It's a Bethesda game... any exploit is a feature not a bug and probably will never be patched officially

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but Bethesda patched the game and made resources further apart from eachother. Making it MUCH harder to find your spot, just looking at the planet and landing between resource spots just isnt working anymore. Spent about 4 hours looking for a good Aluminum/Iron spot..

Regardless of the map showing only 2 elements, you'll notice that it still lists the others as being there on the side. While your scanner level may not allow you to see the elements you can still find them on the planet. Try looking for the spot that he landed in and drag around the outpost building until it says that there are the two elements in the zone and you'll be fine

Great guide 👍 I found a nickel, cobalt, palladium area...after building the perimeter of the base was no longer circular and my palladium deposit became a cobalt deposit..but the palladium extractor is still still gathering palladium as well as cobalt :s

Nope. Just bring up your scanner. There's a option to create outpost on the Hud.

You do realize this method will not work on beginners players with a shitty beginner cargo hold on a starter ship, compared to your $270,000 ship you have. Beginners players won't able to do this until mid game.🙄😒

If you use the money glitch on New Atlantis, you can easily build up enough cash to buy the biggest ships in the game from vendors around the galaxy. I bought the Narwal after an hour of farming, then went and stole back the credits from the vendor with the glitch.

Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong - I put an industrial bench out next to the outpost marker - when I try to use it is says it obstructed - so is the one inside my habitat. I tried moving it, deleting and remaking it - deleted something else just to make sure I hadn't hit the limit (I'm going to assume it will actually stop you from making something rather than make something that doesn't work - but I tried anyway). I'm confused why you need to create the 2nd planet farm? If you already have the setup for the adaptive structures, then why not just use that to farm the XP? The XP I see you gaining here seems to be about the same as making the XP as the magnets.

I have been going from system to system for atleast 2 hours and i am yet to even see a cobalt deposit and yes I started looking in the vega system. The only cobalt I would see is with that blue circle on the planet/moon info i think meaning that there are ore’s of it scattered, but not a deposit of it

Yes, you need 4 points in Science to be able to get Rank 1 (Scanning) then you can see all the materials on that planet when scanned

My game is glitched and my aluminum doesn’t decrease no matter how many adaptive frames I build. So I only have to collect iron. I wish it was frozen for both then I could just stand at the table building them and never have to stop.

I just want to mention when he talked about Muphrid IV, he said IV but how you would actually say it is Muphrid 4. which IV is 4 in Roman numerals Sorry this just annoyed me

I cant believe there isn't a "craft all" button. On console you have to click a bunch witht the right trigger to get to 99 every time.

I thought it was relative 24 hours wait time not the actual 24 hours wait time. So if a moon says 1 hour= 26 hours then you only need to rest 1 hour. Also the beds better than the chair for the XP boost. Nice video though thanks for the tips it’s annoying not having many skill points

So, you can only really achieve this is you have points in the “Scanning” perk… I tried to follow this and was effectively left in the dust as I have no chance of seeing where the borders overlap :(

I dont have to transfer anything to my ship ... I just set up a hab with a bed and a workbench... every 24 hours I jave 999+ nickel and 854 cobalt available for crafting.

How do you make sure the work bench is unobstructed? I can't seem to do anything because it keeps saying such. I even put it in a building to help, still nothing. Edit: save quiting helped

My Vega 2 sucks, it's ALL Nickel. It says there's cobalt but I've been looking for twenty minutes and I've found nothing. Any other planets? Am I missing a skill? Scanning Rank 1?

@@deadgaming_yt That was it, I didn't have level 1 in the scanning tree so I don't see uncommon resources and Cobalt is uncommon, in other words it has one diamond, which meant I couldn't see it on the map.

@@Layby2k We don't see the cobalt because we haven't upgraded the Scanning skillset. I just looked at his map and found a big Cobalt deposit and landed there then found a ton of Cobalt and enough Nickel to do some Skill leveling.

Well it does give ya skill points which is awesome but ya still have to do the requirements in order to level your skills so it will still take you a long time to update them, however if ya don't care about achievements then why not use the console commands? Unless that is just for PC?

You need level 1 in the planetary scanning skill. There are 5 rarities for inorganic materials, cobalt I think is uncommon so you definitely need level 1 for that skill

You either need to find it on the planet first and scan/mine it or you don’t have a high enough skill of “Scanning” in the science skill tree

Bonus xp from sleeping is only 10% . for each frame you get 3 xp, so after sleeping you would get 3.3 each, rounded to the nearest whole number is 3. I haven't tested it but i don't think the xp bonus would work here because the individual xp amounts are so small

You need to upgrade the scanner to be a key to see cobalt. Just land on the edge of nickel to an uncoloured spot and you’ll find cobalt very fast without the scanner

For some reason I'm only producing 110 cobalt compared to my 999 nickel when I sleep for 24 hours. I don't know what I did wrong :/

1. Make sure you're area has enough cobalt so you have like 5 or so extractors on it. 5 for nickel and 5 for cobalt 2. Make sure they're linked to the storage (I made that mistake) 3. Make sure you are producing enough power (also made that mistake) 4. Set up like 12 storage boxes (which you can stack) Each time I wait 24 hours I get like 1300 cobalt or so and even more nickel but I just wait a total of like 3-6 days (collecting between each wait) and that usually nets me quite a bit of xp.
