I like how people have always slammed this show for not being comic accurate yet they know nothing other than the cartoon network series and other animations, her powers were NOT green at the beginning when debuted.
that dosnet really fix anything in the comics she full of compassion and love and depending on the version was like a mother figure to the titans who alaways kept the spirits up and kept them in line when needed and her most notable traits is being a red head with green or orange eyes depending on the publication and orange skin in the series they didnt have any of that really same thing with beastboy not being green and when it comes to her powers they have changed alot over the years from the color blue tp green to orange to now whichever one the writter likes the best

I would say. I loved This starfire as well but the only thing that swayed me so much was the fact they make her put to much effort into fighting humans when in reality, she should not even be worried about them at all. One single flick from her finger should splatter them. The humans fist should be breaking upon trying to punch starfire. And she should atleast be able to levitate instead of always walking.. STARFIRE needs her own movie like superman and wonder woman have. She’s too iconic and powerful to be only mentioned along side the teen titans.
The way that the 2003 cartoon warped everyone's view of her personality into some ditzy overly positive airhead was a crime. She's a warrior princess with more kills than she can count under her belt, and if she sees any signs of aggression it's ON SIGHT.
Facts. HeII, she was trained in deadly combat by the Warlords on Okaara. Not only that, but she's also sexually liberated. She openly enjoys sex. Be it male or female, she gets it in.🤣 Clearly that wasn't gonna be included in an early 2000s kids show, but that's still part of her character nonetheless.
@Shng275 I mean yeah but also some comics will take it way too far. Like Red Hoods and the outlaws literally make her memory based on the "men" she sleeps with. She give Jason Todd an old Nightwing suit and he asks her if she's messing with him and she says something along the lines of, I don't remember his face or who he was but I remember he was kind to me and his smell. I only remember people Im sleeping with. Which is 😬 gross af. Like and you know it's for a fetish reason because her costume design for that comic is one of the most revealing of her designs. For the author to reduce her to alien of "sex" and constantly having her sleeping with Roy or Jason in a bunch of off panels is wrong not because she wants it but they dictate thats the only way she'll remember her teamates is nasty. Like yeah women can enjoy sex without it being some crazy "alien biology" and honestly the author saying that is kinda telling on himself that he thinks that's the only reason women would ever want sex that much. Sounds like a major skill issue 😂

Her suit looks so good, but the thing that still confuses me was how she ended up being powerless at the end of season 2 to regaining her powers in season 3
i thought they already explained it.. they said season 3 is like a soft reboot.. they totally abandoned the plot where Starfire lost her powers and Blackfire possessed that innocent woman in season 2 ending.
I love Starfire's clothes the way her clothing changes as she changes, the powers are awesome at the beginning her current powers are even better, and that hair though how that's changed every single one of her hairstyles to me can slay. I love both versions of Starfire's powers(not the comics never read them), but my memory of Teen Titans the show is not very good because it's been a while despite that I'm standing with my opinion.
They need to give her superstrength, like proper superstrength. Also she can shoot laser out of her eyes too. Not sure what was the last power is though, it's kinda weird.
To the racists in the comments, you DO realise that George Perez based Starfire in the comics on a BLACK WOMAN!!! I think Anna Diop looks great in the role, although her stylist needs firing, but she is improving as the seasons go along. Here’s hoping season 4 brings major improvements.

The only reason why people do not like this version of Star is because she isn't a white woman . Technically neither is the comic as she was orange and all Black people are a shade of dark orange which creates brown . DC has been known to have racists involved in the production and illustration aspects and rather than actually explicitly have characters be black (specifically during the time of her creation) , they did ambiguous coloring of characters which is why they have a different color . for instance , when Star was created , her and the whole Tameranean race was to be Black , the racists of DC changed it and said they would be orange because of their alien heritage . if uu don't know , for the longest time , people thought that Black people were aliens . but to tell uu the truth all Black people are a dark shade of orange ... and this is coming from me an Afro-Hispanic trans woman who has studied comics since I was a kid and im 22 now .

I kinda agree with the nerf, the producers did not honored the character properly. But you're pushing it to much saying she's as strong as ww or superman bc she's nowhere nearly that strong. She's some levels below them. At maximum she could rival to Cyborg, Mera, maybe Donna Troy at the best.
I don't enjoy DC shows or movies, didn't enjoy the first season that much and haven't seen the second and third season if there's a third lol i just know that Starfire could be my first favorite character from DC, i loved everything about her, her fits overall 10/10

it doesn't make sense that her clothes don't burn, after all they are clothes from here on earth, with the exception of the purple dress that maybe is from her planet, the rest probably isn't
Her clothes would only burn if her fire hits them, there are some scenes when they should burn but overall they should be fine, despite her glowing skin

@@Ohitslenci yeah but at a certain point you have to kind of continue trending what the people already know is majorly iconic with her to a degree to keep the ball rolling. Like her outfit being purple, vibrant red hair, green eyes, levitation, and green fire are the first things people will often recall when it comes to her physical appearance and abilities (even though they absolutely can expand or add her other abilities). It’s like you don’t take Superman and out him in a blue and white outfit and then make his laser eyes hot pink, it’s a bit inauthentic to Superman especially when if there was no buildup to these changes. But that being said I’m thinking maybe she will develop green fire?? It is a lead up to her iconic person today and not a “same star fire that we know from the start”

Nah she's an alien. There was a whole thing in the show with her ship getting destroyed along with someone coming to earth to take her back to her home planet. Also it's quoted many many times with her sister blackfire, mostly with some stuff about the cultural differences between their home and earth
To explain the lore as I understand it’s been adapted in the show; Starfire is the oldest sister in the royal family of Tamaran, and the next in line for the throne. What sets the Royal family apart from regular citizens is their ability to create fire. The ability to create fire is also a requirement to become a Monarch. We see Starfire getting tested for this ability after her birth. She *does not* have it. Her parents decide to name her heir to the throne regardless. However, they have a second child - Blackfire - who does have the ability; but as their parents, the King and Queen, realise that they cannot back down on their stance without admitting they lied - they ask a witch to give Blackfire’s ability to Starfire. What they didn’t realise is that though Starfire may not have *fire* powers, she does have a unique ability connected to electricity. When using fire to heal Blackfire, all the power is reclaimed by Blackfire, allowing Starfire’s electrical abilities to shine through.
Well actually the blue powers is ultra violet radiation energy which is making a starbolts its not a electric and her powers just got through in the comics her powers is blue and then when it grows and absorbs more energy it becomes green
I really liked the character in seasons 2-4 but in one I really thought the wardrobe she was given was ridiculous. I kinda get what they were going for, but it didn't work.
When Anna Diop was cast as Starfire I was SO AGAINST IT, I thought the race-swapping thing was so unnecessary... granted, she was orange/gold in the comics, who has orange skin to play the role right? ... but I always pictured her as a redhead, she was never portrayed to have black features, I was very disappointed with the inaccuracy. NOW I am so disappointed Anna Diop won't play her in the DCU, she did a FANTASTIC job with this character, such a badass, my favorite character in Titans, I love her! And I DEMAND Tamaraneans to all be black moving forward, it makes so much sense now the way they portray their planet being, and their solar/ultraviolet metabolization, they of course have dark skin to absorb sunlight just like Superman's black suit helped him recover faster absorbing more solar power. Tamaraneans are DC's Wakandans from space basically, it's such a cool concept PLEASE have it be this way in the DCU moving forward! This is Anna Diop's legacy for the character!
