This soundtrack is so magical, as the people it represents. I loved the Nox since I saw them in season 1, and I thought I would never see them again, but then later Lya appears again in another episode and I was very happy to see her :)
@@dapranak Not really. It was supported by the Air Force but it was made by Canadians. Not to mention how it and Atlantis show multiple countries working together to have a say in how the gate is used
This ost to me represents the moment when sg1 really started to build its own identity outside of the movie. In earlier episodes they basically only reused the movie's soundtrack, but for the nox they found a way to create something new, while still retaining the original as its starting point
This is the ONE of my top 3 favorites episodes. The Nox are my favorite race. No war, no violence, and respectful withe the Nature. I love the last sentence of the episode from the Nox : "Maybe one day... you will learn that your way, is not the only way". OH MY GOD !!! So true and AMAZING... This can be applied to the entire Humanity for 2018 and forever.
I miss the whole exploration aspect of the first half of the show. That all kind of died out in favour of big space battles and stuff. And while I love that, the whole exploration angle was always so fun and interesting. Season 1 has a suprising amount of classic episodes for such a long show, and this is definatly among the best.
I love stargate, it will always be a part of me. It is more than a series. Humanity should be proud we created such a program, and we barely touched the surface or reality. There is great potential out there for our future. Jaffa jokes :D
Season one was phenomenal. Some shows take a little while to hit their stride, but I think SG-1 got it right from the start. A lot of the first season episodes are really good.

The Nox are peaceful but badass. They can stop bullets mid flight, make shit disappear, take the enemy's weapons and they have so much good metaphor and wisdom at their disposal I'd give Yoda a run for his money
it's no wonder they chose to hide themselves and alienate themselves from most of the other races--they absolutely by nature cannot exist with other races without compromising their belief system. Lya comes real close to challenging their belief system when she is tasked by Teal'c to hide an Ion cannon that enabled the destruction of a Goa'uld mothership that was about to take out the Tollan and their newly reformed city.
Despite finding them interesting, the Nox were unarguably my LEAST favorite race of all the "good guys". "Take your ways with you" they say, as though they could judge. I mean, how comfortable it must be to sit around with technology that keeps them safe and hidden, blissfully ignorant to what's going on in the rest of the galaxy, while billions of others are murdered or enslaved, and they dare judge the Tau'ri? Looking past the fact that we didn't have a magical invisibly cloak of joy and wonderfulness to bury our heads beneath, and were under constant threat from the Goa'uld, at least we were out there, trying to do what we could for others, while the Nox basically answered galactic suffering with a high-horse version of "we've got ours, so screw the rest of you", all while judging the 'silly primitives' for daring to arm themselves when faced with an existential threat.
I agree. The Nox may have the technology to defend themselves with illusion and invisibility. But what about others without that technology... how are they suppostu defend themselves without guns?
Jesse Batista the nox probably had the natural ability cloak, they may also have the technology, eg weapons do defend themselves. of all the 4 races, they survived.
lolaz wabby We only know of one of the four races that likely perished, and that's the Ancients. The state of the Asgard is unknown, since they popped up once in Pegasus since SG-1 Unending, and who knows how many other galaxies they've inhabited besides the three we've seen. It doesn't follow that they all succumbed to the mass plot device, erm "mistake" in curing their genetic problems that the main civilization did. The Furlings may also still be alive and well. We have no information to the contrary. The Nox did survive especially well, yes, if that's what you want to call one city on one planet (the Asgard probably have greater numbers!), but that's because they chose not to use their powers to try to fix the problems of the universe around them, rather selfish of them if you ask me.
It's not really for anyone to tell the Nox to fight or not. And they don't use violence, just the power of illusion. It's not their way, why should it have to be?
The Nox were my favorite race in the show alongside the Asgard. I wish they would have been featured at least somewhat in the final season to assist against the Priors/Ori. They vanish without a trace after season 2 or 3, and it's a pitty.
It has been implied that the writers didn't utilize the nox as they didn't really have a way to develop given they are already very powerful and wise race. The Asgard were far more relatable hence the focus went more to them
man i would say sg1 are the best episode of the whole stargate videos and i think its better than sg atlantis and for god this song is the best tome and if there was a rating-music web page for any song in the world ill vote for every sg1 soundtracks sg1 FOREVER!!
If there were a Stargate reboot I would have two wishes: - Don't make goa'uld inept megalomaniacs who collapse a couple of years after the Tau'ri come knocking on the door - Don't make humans go Star Trek Still like the show, though I haven't seen all of SG-1 or any of Atlantis.
no true the young never do as they are told and so it is us who must teach the young how to behave but only when they are ready for to do so when they are not ready would ruin them in the long run!
