Team Starkid and Darren Criss at the House of Blues on May 24, 2012, for the Apocalyptour. "Granger Danger" "Dragon Lullaby" "Dark Sad Lonely Knight" "Not Alone"
Oh my god, this is like my third time watching this and I just realized that when Darren sings "I spend my time at school trying to be this cool guy" he does the Dalton two-step
if you were a true fan of Darren then you would realize what an incredible opportunity Glee was for him, and was quote "the greatest thing that happened to me" by him. He loves working on glee and he HASN'T left Starkid (it's the blood that runs in his veins, remember?), so be happy for him.
Not Alone is one heck of a song.. and i must admit, i think this is my favourite version. Jaime's voice is just so powerful and the harmonies are INCREDIBLE!
Love that the audience sings the final "La la la la la" at the end of Hey Dragon! Love the new lines Darren added to it, the Dalton two-step was cute. "I can't defeat thee, so please don't eat me" is one of the best lines EVER... Also, Jaime Lyn Beatty has an INSANE voice. Like, I can't even... What? What just HAPPENED?
I love how they made sure to keep that Jaime's moment, yea sure Darren is there but if he took any part bigger in Not Alone he would've stolen it. They made sure that it was a Starkid show first, not Starkid and Darren.
Ok but in the beginning when Joey was doing the little scoot thing. It made me realize something. These guys love us, Starkid is genuine. They aren’t here for the money. They’re here for the fun of it. They’re here for us to have fun. Example, having the musicals available for us people who didn’t get to watch digital tickets to watch over and over again. Or having these fun interactive tours and shows. This fandom is also one of the nicest, unlike other fandom, most are super toxic and don’t like when they are wrong, but we all except I’d we’re wrong. Basically what I’m trying to say is, Starkid and Starkid’s fans are all super nice a genuine. And we are all a family, a Starkid family.
My favorite performance of Granger Danger. The part where they sing together is usually so uneven and you can hardly hear Joey, but this time they were both so good.
Strange enough, my father thought the same thing when he took me to see RENT on stage and two origional cast members were playing their origional parts....and i screamed with all the rest of the fan girls then too....
about this point the dads who drove their daughters are wondering what the hell is going on and are wonder why the hell they let their child see this show :)
Granger Danger was the most confusing part of the concert for my mom. She couldn't understand why a girl was singing about falling in love with Hermione. It was the only part she didn't get. ~She's never seen the shows btw~
