We love our Starlink, and have been through several states with no problems. Our current campsite in the Upper Peninsula is wooded, so it hasn’t been the best, but it still works.
Please how can I solve my starlink location address issue?. If there are any other method I wouldn't mind any suggestions.. I tried resetting but still didn't get an online signal
We have the residential with mobility added. The error I made was that I added "mobility" on the app before setting up the router. I ended up having to remove mobility, reset the router and then add it back via the app. That seemed to do the trick.
Be aware that there is virtually zero customer support. After only three days of it working at my house in june, it quit. Filled out service forms and waited 10 days and sent it back. Never got any response until after it was returned.
I noted that the power connections on the bottom of the router are not "common" power connections, and why not use a "common" HDMI (or similarly available cable). They had to make everything specific to the StarLink equipment. Nothing is easy to replace if damaged or broken. Also, what prevents the antenna from being stolen when it sits on the ground?
Great points. It is very specific to their product. Apple take a similar approach most of the time. As for being stolen, it really wouldn’t do them any good to take it considering it has to be paired with my router to operate. I plan to keep it in a location not easily accessed most of the time. Thanks for the feedback! Do you have Starlink?
Another helpful video. It was cool to run into you out in "the wild" last Saturday. I hope you enjoyed the day us much as we did. We too work full time from the RV and require a robust system we started with an AT&T and Verizon cellular via Pepwave and it has worked well but you gotta watch the data usage. I bought the original round Dishy McFlatface when it first became available but we were too far south for it to work. We've now used it for about 4 months in 4 different locations. We noticed it works great for streaming however if there 8s any obstructions I'd locks a lot on real time applications like Teams & Zoom. We rebroadcast star link through the Pepwave. We priority the cellular during work hours and priority starling during "1StrangeAdventure" hours. It's working great...
It was awesome meeting you guys! We had a great time. Love that place and can’t wait to share that adventure! 😉 I agree 100% with what you said. We have had some issues with zoom so typically try other options first. More to come on that. We appreciate you guys watching and supporting! Hope you have a great day! ☺️
We have Starlink. It’s been great when it has a clear view. Minor obstructions will cause breaks in the service. We have a Pepwave Max Transit Duo. So we have the Starlink connected to the WAN ethernet port along with Verizon and AT&T cards. The Pepwave also supports WiFi as WAN. When we must have a stable internet connection for work, we use SpeedFusion bonding of all the WANs. We have found there is no single solution when working on the road. Safe travels, see you guys soon!
Since videos aren’t actually what’s happening right now... my question is what’s going with it now??? I heard that RVers weren’t gonna be able to use it?? Something about moving around, I think 🤔 Are you having any issues with it?? Ruben🤙🏽
Congratulations on getting Starlink. Did you get the portable version or the RV version. The RV version does not care where you are unless you are off the continent. We have had Starlink for about a month now and I just put out a video on what its like in an area with enough trees that it still works but is obstructed every 21 seconds. Fun to watch you spin in circles aound the site. I know the feeling. I was getting dizzy setting mine up the first time too. lol.
We have the normal version with "portability" enabled. It was fun making the video. I'm sure my real neighbors were trying to figure out what I was doing, LOL
