With the release of several new profiles, a rejig of fireteam options, and some serious strategic gaps getting filled could we be seeing a more dangerous Starmada? Music: bensound.com License code: 8SK9FXYV0XOPUHVW
Starmada is so fun, I think starmada is super playable right now. With the roadbot also being in vanilla I still see O12 as the more competitive option, but I love how awesome starmada feels right now.
One of the big things about varangian fireteams is you can duo them with some really intersting wildcards which for a start lets them start the game without impetuous and in some cases gives free orders for smoke or movement on other models.
@@the_infinitygamer There are 2 I find interesting most notanly the PSI-cop because it has a MSV so you have a 2 man team with access to smokes and a way to shoot through those smokes in one team and the other one is the Tian Gou just as way to bring something your opponent isnt expecting especially if its the killer hacker and you do something like Holomask as a second Varangian so they are less likely to thing its something a hacker needs to worry about. Shona is another option but if feel she would better off in a different fireteam but the Varangian at least lets you smoke forward with it.
Wow! I’ve run the RoadBot at least 3 times now and I never noticed that it doesn’t have motorbike on the profile. That means it can go prone! That’s huge
Epsilon, 3 betas and secu FT. Death to anything in Active and ARO. Haris Kappa for orders and low tier button pressing. Roadbot medic with mini-me. Ghosthacker with HD+. Varangian. Oko-bot. Milli-bot. Totally covered. Massive hacking potential. Varangy throwing smoke in active, abusing MSV on epsilon. Spitfire betatrooper for ARO. Only thing really lacking is engineering profile. Its not perfect but it has a lot of output potential
I played one game with a Roadbot, Sarkos and a Beta + Epsilon + Sekudroid core team and it felt really good. I am excited to play more Starmada. The Bearpode also is mixed material, with the handler being metal and the bear being Siocast. :)
The biggest reason to look at the Varangian fire teams, is to link them up if you are going second, your varangians can claim partial cover until you break the link before your turn to generate orders.
I looked at Starmada about a month ago and thought "wow they really could do with a camo given how much HD and camo vanilla gets" and then they release the Sarko. So, I'm not saying I was solely responsible for it, but...
