Thank you, Novara, for giving the Greens a platform. We deserve to hear from all serious parties running for office. For this election, I am really hoping we get more Green MPs. Four would be great but even doubling the number of Green MPs would be a really important step forwards. Zack is a great Green voice and I look forward to people hearing more from Sian Berry in the likely event of her being elected into Caroline Lucas's former seat of Brighton Pavillion.
@@Redsleatherdon't you get where that's coming from though? Labour keep accepting these extremists into the party. No more labour party, two tory parties.
Found this very informative Clearly intelligent articulate man Particularly impressed with his response and how his views changed over the whole Jeremy Corbyn /antisemitism issue. And it was his own personal experience that brought the transformation of his views. And his response over Scottish greens and how people as a whole in this country understand democracy and how it functions. I am definitely decided against Starmer’s Labour Party, but wasn’t sure about the Greens, I will consider them seriously now. Well done 👏
Zac polanski is one of my favourite green elected politicians, he's a very good communicator and has been on a political crash course, sure I'll disagree with him on some things but he seems genuine and I think he takes his responsibility as an elected politician seriously
Oh my goodness. Half way through this interview I was starting to become as inspired as I felt when JC became Labour leader. Brilliantly articulate and wonderful policies. What’s not to like?
Listening to a politician correct themselves on the spot as they misspoke was so unexpected it was almost jarring to experience. If nothing else, listening to Zack Polanski do exactly that makes me feel he actually means what he is saying and wants to make sure he is being understood and that words have real meaning and power. I tip my hat to Mr Polanski and I will be looking forward to hearing, seeing and reading more about what he, and his co-leader, Carla Denyer, have to say.
Zack is the leader we need. He would make an excellent PM. He's so knowledgeable and quick to deliver facts, no bull, just really well thought out facts.
This was truly excellent, makes me very proud of my support of Novara. Very important the greens are challenged on their issues as well as given the opportunity to highlight their good points. Ash and Zack both came across very well.
Polanski speaks very well. The Greens will likely get my vote. The only thing I have against him is the warm words he had for Baddiel's book. But weighed up against everything else covered here, particularly his comments on on Gaza and antisemitism, I can swallow that one.
Good interview, thanks Ash! I joined the Green Party last week. Happy to help them with my £5 membership fee per month & I also hope that the rising number of Green Party members will give the disgraceful Starmer leadership something to think about. Would love to see a record number of Green general election votes and 4 MPs in the HoC.
Yes, I thought what he said was spot on. I love Jeremy Corbyn, and voted Labour in 2017 and 2019. But, nobody's perfect; and I do think JC was wrong about PR.
@@Redsleather youre a prime example of what you get when labour makes everyone so afraid that they enable labour to have a monopoly on policy once they form the next govt. I could not in good conscience vote for labour, stop vote-shaming, because contrary to what you believe, it’s not productive.
Ash’s mum is right and Aaron Bastani is wrong, bold words! Great interview, and I hope the Greens come out of this election with even greater support. They’ve got my vote at least - but we really need that proportional representation.
Always wonderful to hear a Green be given the chance to speak at length. It's great to see a Green challenged articulately and meaningfully, i follow Ash on twitter but never watched her hold an interview (i don't know if that's the correct terminology or not) and i enjoyed her intelligent questioning and her humour too. I was really pleased to see Zack's responses to some of those criticisms, things like NIMBY-ism and being anti-nuclear because they are often levied against the Greens and i've never seen an in-depth counter for them, until now! A breath of fresh air to have a political interview that was conducted calmly, honestly, intelligently, and in good will of one another.
@@51gan788 No vote green to a more left wing opposition to Starmer's Labour. The Tories have no chance and you know it. Neo-Libralism does not want any viable left alternatives on offer.
Great interview, and also thank you for labeling it as an interview in the thumbnail, can be difficult to pick out your new stuff from the NovaraLive highlights
Blimey! I think this is one of the few times I've seen a British party leader being coherent, and not shying away from explaining what he actually thinks and feels about issues.
@@Linz0440was never disputing that, however people should recognise that green politics is widely more upholding of freedom, human rights, etc all enshrined in the greener side of society
So great to see a politician with the ability to speak openly from a place of understanding and integrity. This was an engaging conversation. Starmer, Sunak, so many career politicians would be incapable of having any sort of conversation. They're only able to repeat prepared lines and meaningless platitudes.
We all need to support alternatives, in order - a dissenting labour choice because Starmer needs strong voices from the inside - a winnable alternative candidate - an independent - green - lib dem
It's come a long way, although there's still a long time to go before we're going to get PR. The expansion of votes to 16 year olds is definitely a start towards PR though.
Wow, I'm already impressed with Carla and Adrian (the two co-leaders) buy you surpassed even them! Thanks. You have sealed the deal...and I think you should be the overall leader!!
@@Redsleather Maybe, Labour has never had a labour MP in Worthing. Why vote labour and give the snake a mandate to do what the Conservatives are doing already.
Ok, this is the message Greens need to lead with. They really risk seeming like a single policy party. After this, I'm tempted to give them my vote (otherwise would be SNP).
The advantage with the Green 💚 Party is that it is grassroot democratically run, members have one vote one member on policies and procedures and voting for all councillors and a selected Member of Parliament or leaders of the Green 💚 Party [Disclosure I am a member of the Green 💚 Party 😎]] Clive Burgess ❤️ networks work
We are on a Green 100% renewable Tariff, how come i pay almost the same as others that are not? Renewables are at the moment Way cheaper than Gas and Nuclear....... It's to do with the privateised gloabl energy markets, hence expanding North Sea exploration will not create security or bring down bills, it's a trick..... Localise and nationalise energy companies... not sell it all off to unacountable profit led mainly foriegn comanies?
