Every time he shows up in a film like this I almost always say "damn it, David".

Fincher could be also an actor if he wanted because he clearly has great acting abilities and he is also objectively good looking which is also another aspect

His turn in Full Frontal is such a glimmer of joy in an otherwise dull prank of a film.

02:26 You can see how steady and extremely commanding is his body language, it may not speak totally behind a director´s genius, but in Fincher´s case combined with his fearsome intelligence and accute perfectionism is a dream come true for any individual working with him.

I really wonder how many directors can act if they tried. When you work with performers as much as they do, it's hard not to pick up some of their methods and techniques in front of the camera. Martin Scorsese is another prime example of this.

@@thefincheranalyst James Cameron, Sam Raimi, David Lynch, Brad Bird, Cecil B. DeMille, among many others. Hell, even Alfred Hitchcock could've probably made it as a character actor (dude had a great screen presence in his TV show).

"Mother From Another Planet" (Premiere Magazine, 1992): "For the next year, Fincher labored in the editing room. He made about $250,000 for Alien3, not much more than a DGA minimum. Fox ultimately decided to keep him in L.A. and to cut down his “wish list” from almost six weeks to a mere eight days (at a cost of about $2.5 million extra). Weaver remembers his response when the studio started pressuring him to bolster the horror side of the film. “He said to them, ‘We all sat there and decided to make a china cup, a beautiful, delicate china cup. You can’t tell me we should have made a beer mug.’”"

He gives bad news then says, "Have a bagel." He'd be great in a comedy.

He also is and was good looking apart from acting really well.If he wanted he could do that job also but it is like asking Leonardo Da Vinci to act in theatre in a way it doesn’t make sense

Probably, for the same reason Kevin Spacey's name wasn't in the opening credits, to surprise the audience with the identity of the killer. "The Usual Suspects" was already a success and his voice could have been recognized. And since Spacey wasn't available yet when they shot that scene, Fincher was the one who talked to Pitt on the telephone, and Spacey dubbed that later.
