There's only a little video of Fassbender on the Paris set. And I've collected some phone snaps from different people on my Twitter account. VOIR premieres this Saturday (November 13) on AFI Fest, and we should have more news from Netflix, probably a full trailer, after that.
@@thefincheranalyst Thanks for the update on Voir! I have seen those pics of Fassbender from you Twitter. Kinda tempted tho to read the book for The Killer, should just save after the movie hehe
Just searching the Internet for 15 years. You do it randomly and regularly and you sometimes strike gold like this. There's a lot of stuff there. But a lot of it is very hidden. And unfortunately, a lot more gets erased.
@@thefincheranalyst oh, so it was on youtube or dailymotion at some point? or was there a news outlet that had it available? kinda looks like a vhs rip. i do the same thing too; obsessively searching.
I don't think that's true, except for him being a little bit shy. Maybe when he was young he had to be more abrasive when fighting with older producers and crew that didn't take him seriously. But he definitely has mellowed through the years. He's still strict on his film sets, as he should (they are expending a lot of money every minute), but he's reportedly nice, funny, and even goofy. He's also very loyal, he tends to work with the same collaborators and crew (with some of them for decades). And they want to work with him. The only actor who publicly more or less resented his approach of filming a lot of takes was Jake Gyllenhaal, but he later admitted he was too young and undisciplined to appreciate it.
@@thefincheranalyst Also such highly intelligent people as he definitely is tend to suffer no fools, which can be abrasive at times, but it's more than compensated for by him being honest and loyal. Rare qualities for an artist.
@@MsTriangleRufallo only jokes about the multiple takes. But when Gyllenhaal protested in that interview, he pasionatelly defended Fincher: "The way I see it is, you enter into someone else’s world as an actor. You can put your expectations aside and have an experience that’s new and pushes and changes you, or hold onto what you think it should be and have a stubborn, immovable journey that’s filled with disappointment and anger. Fincher was equally demanding of everyone - executives, actors, himself. He knows he’s taking a stab at eternity. He knows that this will outlive him. And he’s not going to settle for anything other than satisfaction, deep satisfaction. Somewhere along the line he said, ‘I will not settle for less.’”
Omission de traduction (grosse comme une maison 😂). Il dit « ce n’était pas un wind-up toy, mais plutôt un tour de magie »- en mettant l’accent sur l’ABSENCE d’un coté mécanique. Définition: A wind-up toy is an automaton toy powered by a clockwork motor= jouet à remonter/jouet mécanique. Or, la traductrice parle seulement de « tour de magie » 🤦♂️. Déçu.
