Me too and the 80's. But you see the thing is like Britians got talent etc is the same idea as this but there was a big difference. The participants all got respect, none of them were made fun of or laughed at. Also all of them were at least pretty decent singers. This was a way better show. Sad that they are allowed nowadays to put people on a stage and laugh at them for having no talent. Definitely better days even for that reason alone.

Yes. I just knew he was going to be Meatloaf when I first saw him. It was SO obvious. The show's make-up artist made some easy money that day, as they would've hardly had to do anything.

@Rachel James Oh I feel you. We used to watch it as a whole family (back when people did all watch TV together!) That and The Price is Right with Bruce Forsyth. (I think that was on on a Saturday as well) Oh the nostalgia.

Could not agree more. This was when Saturday nights on ITV at its very classic best! This was such a great show to watch! 25 years on and the ITV of today is never anywhere great as it was back in the 90's and 2001 at least.

Unfortunately it's because it's been shown that having 'drama' and animosity and such gets more viewers than having everything being supportive and nice like this :(

Ironically for a show were the contestants pretend to be someone else, they were more real and genuine than the likes of X factor etc.
