I too watch Alien with my Dad at 7, it was my idea cause when I saw the TV commercial I thought that the Xenomorph looks cool and its "just like like Star Wars", watched it on cable with my dad at 10pm, that movie haunt me for atleast a month.

For me it was Predator. I watched with my dad when I was like 5 and I spent like a week terrified that the Predator was gonna decloak over my bed and violently murder me and my family.

My first contact with the franchise was buying a DVD of Aliens with a magazine when I was around 10/11. Was way older when I got to watching the original, and some snippets of 3 a d Resurrection came through the living room TV in-between, but I overall do not have any memories of being scared of xenomorph as a child. I was utterly terrified of necromorphs from Dead Space as an 8/9 year old tho. I was visiting a relative who lives in a commie block and they have those bare-concrete, narrow hallways between appartments, with buzzing, sometimes flickering lights, and I legit was too scared to walk through one of those to the stairwell. Granted, that absolute scare only lasted a couple days, but still.

@@MizantropMan My second ever was, deadass, AVP. Dad was like "hey son, 'member how much you liked Alien?" "yeah.....(no)" "well this is barely like that!" and I had a real good time even thought he hated it! I think he showed me AVP to gauge how I'd react to Aliens next and that is still my favorite movie.

I saw Aliens with my dad as a kid, but I saw Alien all by myself.
