How does the deployment supply cost reduction work, exactly? Without any skills, how much supplies would it cost to field a 20 DP cruiser with 5 D-mods?
@@LowSettings alright then. If it cuts down recovery costs enough, It would be a good mechanic for skirmisher squadrons. A set of fast ships you use to wear down a superior force with successive deployments. You pick off the frigates, and reduce the CR of the big ships enough before sending in your top tier ships.
2 best cruiser clases in the game(apogee and champion) 2 best destroyer clases in the game (sunder and hammerhead) with super tough dominator and bunch of furies(at least furies I think are junk) Godlike atlas mk2 and prometeus mk2. Yup it's all JUNK
Taking OP from 15 to 20 was an absolutely wrong move on the dev's part, especially when the default game builds for the fury are ineffective support roles. Having by far the lowest OP/DP and now Eagle's flux buffed to be the same, and nerfing hardened shields from 25% to 15% isn't doing it any favors either. It's also the most fragile ship in its class. This update was done strictly to punish high tech and phase players.
In fact, last night I had a what I thought was a very bad, low quality low-tech fleet including a 14th legion battlecarrier with only 2 bombers, one squall and msotly empty weapons, only reinforced bulkheads and only half of its OP used and fleet about 40-50% CR due to crew shortages from salvaging the battlecarrier and not mothballing it as I usually do, somehow that fleet beat a much larger remnant order with +210% battle experience and it wasn't built to fight remnants, hell it wasn't even properly equipped, that's how OP the dev made low tech in this build.
Well well well, I'm doing it again just now, and without using any legion, even against radiants. The key to getting the massive experience bonus vs remnants with low tech is using ventures, they aren't militarized ships so don't contribute to xp calculations, although they don't get fleet bonuses they're pretty good anchors. Line ships are enforcers. Mid tech like hammerhead are underwhelming. I do have some high tech, mostly scarabs and starter wolfs, but key is still my piloting an afflictor and hitting them where my ships push them but can't quite flux out the remnants on their own.
