Starship Battles: A Dominion-Borg War 

I will say not a fan of the dominion, but, I like the mouth this guy has on him for a fight with the borg.

Well I get the feeling that cardassians will be picked off in the initial fight with their half century old tech on their ships, the klingons would last longer and would more then likley take heavy losses The federation and dominion ships would probably inflict heavy dammage on the borg cube with either having their ships damage/lossing a ship or two Or it'll end quickly by having 2 of the dominion ship ram into the cube and self detonate the warp core blowing massing chunks out of it while everyone fire every torpedo into the hull breaches like stuffing a thanksgiving turkey with blocks of C4 explosives

Those Sovereign-class and Akira-class ships are like "You tell them California!".

It's probably just my audio, I find whoever voiced the Borg hard to hear and understand. The Voice of the Legion they use is usually deeper and louder. Like in your head, impossible to ignore types of louder. The Klingon heard here also does not sound like a Klingon. You've really gotta ham it up, my man. Qapla!

The scale of the warbird is off...

Even though I like seeing this match up, I do see several things wrong here. What broke off the assimilation of the warbird? Did the Dominion draw the cube to them? And with what? Who brought five major powers together to fight the Borg? If you managed to signal something to the Borg to bring them to you, how many cubes might show up? The five powers are political entities, but the Borg are not. You have to look at them like they were either a bee hive, or an ant colony. And they are our size. Can't imagine a worse opponent. Remember what Q said to his son. "DON'T PROVOKE THE BORG!!"

Now this very impressive and interesting I'm looking forward.

Gonna call it. The USS Nerys is gonna be far more overpowered than the Sovereign. Also, it's pointless to try to board a Borg ship. The second the alliance ships drop shields those ships will in turn be boarded by hundreds of drones. A typical cube has tens of thousands of drones and will throw more and more into boarding actions than pulses in small arms.

The borg beam noise was probably the California getting obliterated.

You may want to consider improving the quality of the audio. Most of it was quiet, and I couldn't understand most of what the borg from the cube were saying through the effects.

Starfleet captain sounds like Reignbot.

Starfleet's technology wasn't too impressive after a few years to the Borg. It was/is humanity that they ultimately were after. Even The Vulcans in the early years of Starfleet were afraid of humans. They viewed humanity as an enigma that they could not classify or understand when compared to the other known species in the alpha quadrant. Basically, we are special lol, and The Borg knew that we are a hot commodity for their pursuit of perfection. The Dominion on the other hand, has some amazing technology that would interest the Borg. There is no way in hell that The Dominion even with all of their vastness, power, and capabilities would be able to survive an all out assault with the Borg and the endless numbers that they are capable of sending. The Dominion's technology would have eventually became useless to them and their numbers would only make it a prolonged assimilation that could take decades or even centuries to complete which will happily be accepted by The Borg adding more and more equipment and drones to replace their losses from Species 8472 and the virus from the future. One adapted Cube becomes thousands and The Gamma Quadrant becomes The Delta Quadrant 2.0. The Dominion would more than likely have to eat humble pie and reach out to the Federation for help due to their lack of ingenuity that they haven't needed because of over whelming brute force. Also another huge thing to consider is the fact that The Founders abilities would count for nothing. The wouldn't be able to soften up and sabotage The Collective like they did to The Alpha Quadrant Factions. Shapeshifting would be worthless and stupid. The Changeling would be exposed immediately not being able to connect to the hive-mind. Sorry, but The Dominion would be fucked if The Borg invaded The Gamma Quadrant.........

Um, i never understand why its always one cube. Voyager has shown that when the borg decide to really assimilate a civilization,they surround the entire system and work inwards. Thats hundreds if cubes. The borg were designed in trek to be the "ultimate users"-Q. Theres a reason Q slung the enterprise to a cube and not a founder to make his point. Thx Lore

I can imagine there's no borg in the Gamma quadrant because the Dominion just keeps annihilating them immediately upon discovery. The Jem'Hadar simply don't fuck around when they know their enemy. My assumption is, the Dominion got into contact with the borg at some point, took a minor defeat, but also developed combat strategies and routines to handle the borg threat.

Borg voice seemed off, but not far off. Looking forward for more.

Borg got seriousl nerfed as Trek went on iI mean worf 359..ONE cube took out dozen of fleets. just...one Voyager...blows cubes up like they are toys.

Lore Reloaded: the Borg Cube is pretty close to icecube. With a couple more weeks, or more it would get to studio Quality. I am not there yet, I still can't get the internal shell looking right.

Hey lore reloaded I have a question. Why was the subject of warp speed and time never addressed in Star Trek. Isn’t it stated the closer to light speed you get the slower time moves. Should not starfleet areas not at warp be younger than the people not on starships?

Interesting. I think the borg can easily assimilate vorta and jem'hadar. However, the kamikaze tactics might cause the borg trouble. Why not line up 500 jem'hadar fighters and order all of them on a collision course at maximum warp right into the side of the borg vessel. They can replace these ships and soldiers quickly and easily.

The Dominion can be VERY good at being a good guy when they WANT to be. They ACTUALLY become sorta good in TrekOnline. Helping beat back the Hurq, even if it WAS kinda their fault, they sorta cleaned up their mess or kinda under Odos leadership. Without extensive help though some of them wouldn't last long. Which think we call can agree, next to Romulans... looking your way Cardassians, theyd need EXTENSIVE support from the others to stay relatively alive not just in ANY usable units for long. Much would depend on the Dominion's energy dampening weapons and how disabling they can against the Borg. An how would Alternate Reality forces like the IKS fare against such an enemy like Borg? Personally I dunno on that one. BUT the Federation SHOULD be prepared for this and having Deja Vu.. or perhaps PTSD flashbacks, having made half their fleet or more either Anti Borg War ships or Multirole vessels capable as quickly doubling as or converting into heavy warships capable of seriously hurting a Borg ship or even overwhelming it depending.

the dominion would send Jem'hadar ships to suicide ram into the cubes . Jem'hadar soldiers can't be assimilated for long since they'd die without the ketracal white which only the Founders can provide . founders can probably resist assimilation and also shape shift to create blades and other weapons to easily slice through Borg drones and also flow into Borg computer systems and sabotage them from inside

I'm all up for a good battle or two. I'm just trying to figure out why go after A CUBE. Not that there probably isn't tech all the powers would give their eye teeth for. I know they'll be more to it just trying to figure out what.

I am highly curious when this is taking place. If it is post Voyager, than Starfleet has a decided edge. The Super-Anti-Borg Torpedos have likely been adapted to in full, but the methodology and thought process behind their development is the type of thing the Borg couldn't adapt too. Basically giving any Starfleet ships a several decade leap-frog in weapons ideology where combating the Borg is concerned. This is to say nothing of the extreme boost in Ablative Shielding technology that any post-voyager starfleet might have access too; and we know that technology can be done in a simple retrofit; don't even need a starbase >_> More serious it comes down to the Borg, not the alliance of Borg haters. If we are dealing with a Queenless collective (IE. post Voyager), than it might not end well for the Borg. The Collective has no reason to prioritize adapting to Star Fleet advances, or to even pay much mind to the Dominion save devouring their ships. Klingons are a dying culture, and as such likely have few innovations the Borg haven't seen in other species, or the Klingons themselves. The Dominion is an expanse of distinct aliens, but the tech is mostly uniform when it comes to combat. All of this is to say if the Borg view this as your run of the mill battle, they lose hard. Which is why a Queen is useful. Having the singular voice, the desire to see ones collective thrive, with the matching fear of the collectives end... Much benefit from that. Should be interesting regardless!

If more than one cube is present no fleet is going to win, not even the Dominion. If only one cube is present, a few fleets might win and the Dominion is not one of them. The Dominion fleet has never exhibited one flicker of finesse in their combat operations - it is all brute force and that is the strength of the Borg defense.

Looks interesting. A few things I noticed and would just like to point out. -The Borg voice seemed a bit too muffled as it was very hard for me to understand it, that and the speed as they were talking way to fast, if it could be slowed down just a bit it would deliver a more intimidating presence. :) -I could be wrong but I don't ever remember the BORG ordering other BORG to do something, rather they would speak as a hive mind together notice a disturbance in a sector or whatever and state their intentions and send a cube, not order one like it's a military organization. :) Just two things I noticed and thought I would mention, not as anything negative but more like constructive criticism. Great work.

Why would the dominion call the war between the dominion and the federation 'the dominion war'? It is like the British calling any of the many wars they where in 'the British war'. To make it even simpler, it would be like that Americans calling the war in Afghanistan 'the American war'. The names given to a war is often related to it's location or the oponent (could be a country or person). Crimean war, Napoleonic wars, American civil war,.... If wars are between several factions and over a large number of locations than you can get more general names like 'the great war' or 'world war 2'.

I thought this was a Borg-Dominion battle. What are the Cardassians, KDF, and Starfleet doing here? And why would Starfleet send a California-class? Intrepids, Defiants, Sovereigns, Sabers, Akiras, Steamrunners are all part of the wave of ships specifically designed to combat the Borg. If Starfleet was to send a task force specifically to respond to a Borg threat after the Dominion War, it might consist of 2 Sovereigns, 4 Intrepids, 4 Steamrunners, 12 Sabers, 8 Akiras, and 24 Defiants. And remember, the Borg are responding to a threat detected here. Also, I hope you don't plan on continuing to show ships grouped so close together that debris from one could destroy the rest. That isn't how to deploy a space force. Remember that space is really, really big, and there is no up or down but the up or down you assign.

Like the potential here. The sound quality needs a lot of work my friend. Also. How about some Ferengi? No profit in the Borg they need to protect their interests and the D'Kora is a bad ass ship

Nice for a preview. Here we go with the critique though, CGI is quite nice, the warping right nexta the cube doesn't make a whole lot of sense from a tactical perspective, the show of intimidation doesn't make sense especially to the Borg since their well the Borg. The Borg voice modulation is way off. The voice acting seems flat, and emotionless. The script writing seems cringe. Although the klingon and federation lines seemed in character-ish, maybe more snarling from the klingons. Still quite cool the story premise, looking forward to how this turns out.
