I grew up with the original Star Trek and the way all of you have recreated that "time," in its original form, is amazing, it is the best! I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this. That you were able to do this without Hollywood money and without being paid huge sums of money is simply incredible. Your characters, and those who play them, are great.

I believe this is stellar work by a group of extremely dedicated people. I loved the entire production. I felt as if it was a crew of real Starfleet personnel, not actors playing parts.

the original Constitution Class bridge, the original sound effects, the original uniforms, and the ship's own insignia before Starfleet made the Enterprise's insignia the standard for all ships and commands. very well done!

Some folks comment about the acting, but I was in the military for 20 years and the people in this production are much more real to life then what the professional actors do. Real life rarely has perfectly timed gestures and perfectly worded speech. To me the non-professional actors came off more true to my experience.
The acting isn't bad, but I don't think it matters if an actor is a professional or not. Just because an actor isn't a professional, it doesnt mean they don't have chops. Anyone can take acting lessons, and in my opinion, they're worth taking. Chops or not, pro or not, some people just have more natural acting ability than others. If the actor believes what they're doing, it makes it easier for the audience to believe it. This wasn't a bad production and it looked like it was fun to do. I'm envious 😉 Peace

This is a real find, took me back in time to being a 9 year old girl, running out of school to catch the latest episode of star trek, where my mum and brother weren't allowed to say a word as I sat a metre away from the TV , good times

Gentlemen, I’ve been a Treker since it’s beginning back in 1966, I was eleven years old when I first saw Mr. Spock and the bridge of the Enterprise, I was hooked. Now after all this time several movies and television shows later past fifty years I’m still hooked, not so much the newer shows as they push too many uncontrolled deviant situations. Nevertheless, Roddenberry’s vision still lives and I’d prefer that to todays goings on or the return of Jesus. This kept in true form and step to TOS, great episode, your cast of characters appear better actors to those of others I’ve seen online. I only see that one flaw that they be more relaxed in their character, their responses were not anticipatory nor hesitant in their actions and lines like other online episodes. Great work and that you for taking me back to a time of true exploration and wonder, I was that eleven year old again awed by what I was watching and to have Washington show up proved Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek still lives. Great job fellows, great job. I will forever be a treker.
Agreed. Just a bit more tweeking. Example: in the beginning of this, where captain says: "....I'll be in my quarters..." That line was too ..." Ok bruh". For lack of better words , sorry. But hey.... This is awesome ntl. N I'm not whining or complaining, just offering an opinion on a tiny problem IMO
Apparently all star fleet personal were intended to wear the delta insignia, and in certain episodes where the insignia was not worn -it was a wardrobe and production mistake. The supposed fact that each starship had their own insignia was in fact a misconception / misperception ! The times where alternate insignia were used were, like explained above, either mistakes, or due to specific areas of service : I.e merchant marines & freighter personnel, deep frontier starbase personnel, and other assignments. Starships like the enterprise flagship and all other personnel on ships similar were intended to wear the standard flagship star fleet insignia. So really most starfleet personnel were intended to wear insignia just as in subsequent series like tng. This was not an in universe change whereby the flagships insignia was adapted, instead the misunderstanding was due to either production mistakes that were called out ( but sadly not altered or reshot due to budgetary constraints, etc) Lol, I am sorry to be a big nerd on this. In all honestly when I read this comment thread then confirmed the alternate insignia on this fanfilm - I then looked up the history of starfleet insignia and basically loaded my (admittedly very recently obtained and from a single source, however a single source with supporting internal memos) .. Loaded my cannons and blasted all my recently obtained knowledge into this comment thread lol !

I just found the place call THE NEUTRAL ZONE southern Georgia. They have paramounts permission to recreate the Star Trek set. I think it was five years ago but I believe it’s still open. Some new treks were filmed their.

Well done Farragut. I inadvertently snickered at the Pakistani dagger at the very end though. Everyone who ever worked Ren Faire has 3 or 4 of those somewhere.
A most wonderful & welcome episode!! At the end…we see the apple…representing Earth. Then, we see Washington, plunging the dagger downwards into it…representing, perhaps…the Terran Empire? The Mirror Universe? I saw what y’all snuck in there! I saw what y’all did😁. Sneaky😁. I’m waiting on your new episodes. A loyal fan…Mike

Love this production. There is a brief use of the song "Over the hills and far way" which was used in the TV series of Sharpe, during the end credits, which is referenced to the English Red coat army. As a big Star Trek fan I note the possible new time line of possibly the Earth Empire from Mirror Mirror,

That would be cool to see history as it happens. It could answer a lot of questions instead of us guessing why certain things were done. But, interacting with historical events is obviously dangerous though.

The big budget Treks just don't get it. They get lost in Hollywood somehow. This right here is canon. The imagination, the creativity... It's all right here. What Starship Farragut brings, to me at least, is "thinkers." You watch these episodes and not only was it a great ride, but you're left with that feeling... "What if?....." Hollywood Trek has no idea of the concept. Instead all they offer is characters crying a lot.
Well the guy who’s composing the music is working harder than anyone else in this production, with the exception of the FX guy. Terrible acting, but still a fun and passible story. I much preferred their third installment ‘The price of anything’ .. THAT was a good one!.

Gratulations! THis movie is well done! Ambeinte and Interieur is very good designed like in Captain Kirk's spacecraft. Usually a do not like watching movies in American language. If I do nervertheless it is honoring! I recognized following: In original films you see seldom overweighted people, most of them, especially on the Enterprice of Jean-Luc are well formed! But nevertheless: Very great done!

Very fun, great project of love. I was confused by the chief engineer Smithfield being called Mike, and referred to as both sir and maam at different times.
I've only very recently discovered these fan made star trek productions,am I correct in thinking that farragut was made by the same people behind continues;all 11 episodes I've recently watched, and is phenomenal, absolutely fantastic. But these in comparison regards production script, acting are just not in the same league, these sorry to say have the quality of what a group of friends make with a camcorder.Sorry for the critique,I don't know if it's down to a difference in production cost,I don't know how much star trek continues cost to make.

The failure of the captain to Introduce the black Security officer does not Bode well for the production although the story Is actually impressive And I appreciate the effort It would be nice to see more stories from this crew this production team,
1:00:00 There weren't "hotels" in 1770s. They were called "Guest Houses" or "Boarding Rooms/Rooms for Rent." And "Saloon" was invented in the 1880s as a "fancy" version of the French "Salon." Some even had 3 "O's" like the X-rating in cinema is sometimes displayed as "XXX" even though there is NO such rating. It only goes as high as "X" and no further. The rest is simply marketing.
I hadn't watched this episode for a while. I remembered enjoying it, so I watched it again and confirmed my positive memories. So, in the alternate reality is George Washington the "First Emperor" rather than the first President?
He is styled "Your Excellency" or "Excellency". An Emperor is normally addressed as "Your Imperial Majesty" "Your Most Imperial Majesty". It is, however, a parallel universe, and the Colonies may have their own titles and manners of address.
Why oh why does the "Captain" need to sign a tablet with a PEN? Why does he need to sign anything at all? Any sort of event that the captain has to approve should come directly to his chair or at the least hand him a touchpad. I also disagree with "Starfleet Officers" having attitudes and snarky responses to superior officers. This would happen on TNG with civilians but not Starfleet officers. 😀 Great job though. Really enjoyable plot overall.
Hmm , um , logic escapes me as to how a transporter works . But it was fictional to begin with . However , it is decent tool to get around . In reality a transporter is a death trap . We see what could happen when barriers are crossed in the series . Just like committing a crime and going to prison . Not recommended .

Need a better mic, then clear the audio after. The entire visual is out of focus. Why is that? Some of the acting is kind of stiff ( no pun intended). Loosen up a bit. Put more emotional where needed. Please.
I'm sorry, while the plot is interesting, most of the acting is wooden, and one of the security officers sounds like he's reading off cue cards, pausing in all the wrong places.
@@vanceamania You don't get it. They're reading lines. They SOUND like they're reading lines. They don't sound like they are interacting, they are waiting until their turn to recite the next mini-speech, then it's the next person's turn. There's no investment in what they are saying or doing, and no connection to the lines before or after their own. Like that scene in "Neverending Story," where the bookseller is asking if Bastian if he was ever afraid when he was reading, and Bastian replies "But it's only a story!" The actors are READING THEIR LINES. "It's only a story." They are trying to get the line right, rather than trying to communicate with the other characters. It's like watching Karaoke Night. You can tell the people who are trying to sing to the audience, and those who are singing to their Significant Other. You can hear the difference, even if you can't explain it. This is INVESTMENT. And it's just not there in this film.
