I saw this movie a lot as a kid and the 2 things I remember is that this and Ella Enchanted both really fueled my "not like other girls" phase. I was like, see it's normal to not be interested in men and then realized later I was a lesbian. And I think this movie taught me that you couldn't rent a car unless you were 25

Lmao, I used to LOVE Starstruck when I was a teenager. Something about this movie being so stereotypical just works perfectly. Loved the reaction, enjoyed Seamus being a fanboy lol Maybe you can do Geek Charming sometimes! It’s also actually a surprisingly fun movie

This movie definitely reads like a wattpad fanfic, but most of us watching were too young to even know what wattpad is when it came out. I definitely loved it as a kid but watched it about two years ago and was (star)struck by how bad it was. I still have a lot of nostalgia for it though.

Wattpad didn't even hit a mil users until a year after this movie came out. Stereotypes and cliches existed way before either of those.... trust me, I read some pretty bad X-Files fanfic in the early 00s that could fit the Wattpad stereotype lol
