Start issue alternator motor without sensor system. 

No start possible on Valeo 180A alternator.
The magnetic field is not applied in the correct sequence. No reliable self start. Out of 10 attempts one start runs okay.
You need a push that it runs good.
I am planning to add an optical sensor but this isn't a easy job.
