This video is super helpful and also hilarious! I am so easily distracted jumping from one idea and website to the next until suddenly I'm so far from the goal (which I'd forgotten) that inspired me to fire up the laptop in the first place. Knowledge... direction... distraction... shopping... email ... Netflix haha.... but in all seriousness, thank you telling it like it is, for the quiz and for a guideline to START... Just need to frickin start 😆

I know how it is...this is easier advice to say then to follow for sure, I also get distracted a lot and veer off track, but just have to pick ourselves up and start (again, sometimes)!

I’ve been trying to figure out how to get started on building my portfolio and this has helped me get a better idea and make a plan to design for my portfolio. I love cushions and pretty boxes with prints to use as all kinds of storage

First of all, thank you so much for the excellent content you provide in each video. Second, I have a question. To someone who would like to follow your advice, who did a quiz several times and got different results, how would you briefly describe different job requirements for different categories in general? I believe it would help me choose the right one because I feel stuck now. Thank you!

Yes, agreed! I need clarity so that I can FOCUS. I have created 14 designs in a particular niche(weightlifting or what Im calling “Legday art”) but THEN it’s like what format should I put my focus into?? Water bottle design? t-shirts? Purely surface pattern, or heck maybe getting into flow doing whatever surface pattern designs fit my fancy?? But keep it to repeating patterns testing a whole gamut of topics? It’s overwhelming

Kali, I feel your pain! Those niche designs sound great but I would think end products a little more- so if you decide on water bottles, what other type of art is also popular for water bottles? Start there and create towards that. You're likely going to need a range of art to get work, but I LOVE that specific Leg Day idea!
