I love not splitting off and creating a separate channel for healthy living. Seems like people do that when they are trying to “work” the algorithm for better results. Love your point that we all have various interests and that just makes your channel feel like more of connection with a human vs just niche content. Just my POV. ❤
As a Christian I throughly enjoy knowing I’m watching a person of like beliefs . Your sweet spirit comes through . As you spoke toward the end about who we all are that watch you , I got choked up . I’m an empty nester and miss my “babies” so much , their 37 yrs old and 28 yrs old , I’m probably your moms age . I’m a full time 24/7 caregiver to my husbsnd who has ALS and is on a ventilator . It can be lonely because I can never leave him except once a week for 4 hours when we hire a nurse to get my errands done . I’m very busy but I find pockets of time where everything is done and he’s sleeping and without something to keep my mind on , it wonders . Sometimes in places it shouldn’t go , when you talked about memorizing scripture it really touched my heart . We have to feed our souls ,”write my words on your heart” . Many times during the day I have to be my own encourager and I want to have holy encouragement . I feel I get that from your channel , it’s always gentle encouragement . Saying a prayer for you both. My husband is an only child. He and his mother had to take care of his father who had ALS. He’s been gone just over 2 years. It really took a toll on my husband and my mother in law to be his full time caregiver. Sending up so many prayers for you ❤
Ohh I went through the same well it was only 2 molars and a root canal. Can’t imagine not taking pain medication ❤ God bless your mom 😮and hope she can feel better little by little!

Your channel is one of my favourite channels. I am at a different stage of life. All three of our sons are married to awesome daughters in law and together have given us 8 grandchildren. God bless you Amy! I love that you do you. That is what keeps me coming back. As I have shared before, I was a homemaker of 4 for 23 years. I am also a widow now with 5 wonderful grandchildren. I am on a tight budget and can not spend like some of the other channels on here push you to do. I love that you and most of your friends you have mentioned on here are all about being yourselves, honoring God, sharing your thrifting ideas and your journeys. I so wish I had a community of like minded women in the 80's and 90's and early 2000's when I was a homemaker. We were often ridiculed because we choose to stay home and raise our children instead of having a so called "career" back then. I truly believe the greatest and hardest "career" is being a homemaker and mother. It is the greatest blessing. Stay true to yourself and enjoy this journey you are on.

I'am with you about gardening! We are going into the 3rd spring since we built. We had to start with grass, remove some trees, putting in the front yard landscape. Now we are focusing on the backside of our house. Starts with a privacy fence, which will help shape the gardening Im dreaming of. Hi Amy! So proud of you for signing up for a marathon. I ran my first full marathon at age 49. It was so inspiring in so many ways. Afterwards I ran a couple half marathons and now at age 62 I'm doing short runs and light weight training to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It is a process and I know you will do well. It proved to me that we can do anything we put our minds to.Love all your content! ❤
We just built a new house and I wish I had taken some of my plants from our former home (plants have gotten so expensive!). One tip I can give you is that we purchased all our landscaping plants/shrubs/trees from the same local nursery and the manager offered us a 15% discount off of everything we purchased and continue to purchase. We also did the landscaping in stages rather than all at once. We put in the front landscaping, the side yard and the raised vegetable beds. This spring we’ll tackle the other side yard and back yard. We also had the plants delivered and put them in the ground ourselves to save money. Good luck- can’t wait to see how your landscaping turns out!
I loved this chat!! I’m so excited for your journey! The home, the marathon, the garden!! I’m here for it!! Yes! Dig up everything because the new home owner may just come along and rip out all your hard work and go with rocks, or traditional shrubs ect!! Make your new garden twice the size you think it should be, and since you are in still in the designing stages of your home, make sure you have a little place with some full size east facing windows where you can place a nice tall metal rack for seed starting. Because once you realize you don’t want 6 of this tomato or six of these peppers you will definitely want to have a say over how many of each varieties of each plant!! It’s give a mouse a cookie and she will plant a huge variety of one plant without having 100 tomatoes 😂 xxoo
I’m loving your miles with Amy! You put the push back into myself to get back to caring about myself. October I had 33 miles not trying started caring in Nov had 74 miles all this walking and now January I’m at 87 miles. Pushing myself to do a 100 miles in Feb. eventually want to start with running a 5k and maybe do a half next year. I’ve never been a runner at all but seeing your progress inspires me! I have shared your journey from last year with everyone! You have proven it can be done! ❤❤
One of the main things I love about your channel is that it’s a “lifestyle” channel! I appreciate the different topics-health, fitness, home making, motherhood, faith, etc…because if we really think about it, it’s all connected, right? You seem to have decided that taking some of your outside plants with you is a good idea. I'd totally endorse that. You do need to leave enough so that the garden looks well thought out and cared for. But having some plants and bushes to introduce to your new home, is a great idea. If you have perennials, like hostas and such, divide them and take them with you.

Scripture memorization is so important and I'm not great at it! But it's really cool because in one week without even trying God placed two verses on my heart, I read them once and still know them. All Him! One is "As water reflects the face, ones life reflects the heart." In Proverbs somewhere but it's such a good reminder to live the way He's called us to live.

With this new house being in the country, by a woods and stream, I would seriously consider looking only at deer resistant landscaping plants. And you might need to build a fence for a vegetable and herb garden. Deer repellent sprays enable me to grow certain flowers and hostas, but I have learned the hard way that I have to be diligent.
