After planning, researching, and constructing support garments I'm embarking on my biggest historical costume project yet - drafting, sewing, and trimming a 1770s, silk robe a la francaise gown. In this video, I assemble the petticoat and figure out the basics of making a new style of dress from scratch all without a pattern.
