The kitchen really does look beautiful! I love the fabric that you used for the skirt, too. It made such a difference to the island. Looking forward to more updates ❤
Love the island and the green drawers. I know what you mean about choosing paint colours. It can be so difficult sometimes to get what your brain knows you want. I think using the chalk paint as a primer was a great idea otherwise the paint may have just gone to waste anyway if you didn't like the colour. 🌷
I love what you're doing! The green looks amazing and those hanging brass knobs are so elegant! I love the vintage marble table. I'm so glad to have found someone who is not making yet another all white modern fitted kitchen, and has great vision!
That was such an inspired choice to use the washstand as a island. I see those pieces around and have always loved them but your changes made me see them in a whole new light. I also really loved your philosophy on listening to those inner feelings ie. the green paint, searching for items. Its something I'm getting more in tune with too and when I follow it it always leads to a really grounding feeling. Lovely to find your video and channel.
me too it was pure chance one came up on marketplace when I was searching for buffets! and yes it does create a really grounding feeling. a sense of "aahh, yes".
Your colour sense is wonderful; I notice the colours from your art making their way into the kitchen. I am looking forward to some small highlights of India yellow or mustard, too, and very sad about the loss of the fluted-edge oval plate - it was rather lovely. Here in Victoria we can put holes in rented walls as long as they are properly patched and painted at the end of a lease, and I wonder if your blank wall would benefit from a high shelf - about the height of the top of the fridge, so it didn't get in the way. You could edge it with shaped pieces similar to the mountings from the mirror removed from the washstand (which was a pretty amazing find for $100, by the way) and have hooks or pegs on the underside or back mounting plate underneath for an apron made out of the red fabric with the polka dots, or some yellow, and some kitchen implements,, with cookbooks and art and knickknacks on the shelf? My two cents worth, for what that's worth!
I love your ideas... I was thinking very much the same about a shelf with hooks and maybe it is worth patching and painting at the end! something to consider... and absolutely love your idea about the red apron !!
i am enjoying your aesthetic, your kitchen in this video is just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your design process, it is something that i can use to learn for myself. I am excited to see your next projects. Laurie
Your kitchen has come to life! I would vote for brass knobs on your green dresser but then again I’m a bit into pops of brass/gold here and there. You could always paint them black again 🤷🏻♀️. Looking forward to your next video!
i only found your channel yesterday and im absolutely enamored with your style. really looking forward to your future content! (i might steal some of those ideas for my kitchen if thats ok)
i just want to say that i found you from a comment you made on another video (which i totally agree with, thank you for putting to words what i find in a lot of design videos). anyways, i'm so happy that i found you because i love your videos and think you have amazing taste!!
Looks great! I think some stainless steel bakers rack could look really cool on that back wall. Now that you have more color and patterns the silver would be a nice touch.❤
So glad that i found your channel, i love all your secondhand and vintage touches. One thing i wanted to share about your audio - when you use your mic it sounds fine on my phone but so muted/underwater when the video plays on my TV. So not sure what's going on, but wanted to share!
“I’m kinda over this project to be honest ….” 😂 Mmhmm. This is me with just about every project I start. I have to wait until the creative energy returns to finish it or …. It just languishes in the “maybe some day ….” list in my brain.
hi there it's called Irish green by dulux but it's an Australian paint company I'm pretty sure. I also added a smidgen of a warm red called nullabor sunset to warm it up slightly. 🙂
New subscriber here. Really liked your video. You did a nice job decorating your kitchen. Clever idea for the kitchen island. At the end you asked for suggestions for the blank wall in the kitchen and I was thinking that you could add (by painting) a large black board (or even look for a large second hand white board if you don’t like blackboards or chalk dust) to write a shopping list (just take a photo of it on your phone when going shopping) or if you meal plan, you could write up your weekly food plan. Look forward to your next video 🕰🪑
Just found your channel and it is absolutely lovely. I saw you were using the uranium glass for food, and it is highly recommended you do not do this. Uranium can leach into your food and can be dangerous.
