I’m incoming with the class of 2027 and it’s crazy to have seen your journey from start to now, you’ve helped me a lot in the process! You’ve already done this much, you’ll crush pilot training!
I watched your videos over 7 years ago before i joined the Air Force. Im a SSgt now. Been interesting to see your progress! Good luck in pilot training
Man, I started watching your videos before I went to basic training in 2016. Fast forward to now, I served my 6 year enlistment, went on 2 deployments, multiple TDYs, and made some amazing friends along the way, worked Aircraft Maintenance on the E3 AWACS. Cool to see you're still posting and doing well in your career, good luck in all your endeavors!
I finished my enlistment in December of 21 and I'm in ROTC at college getting a degree in aviation, hoping to get to UPT soon myself! It's been great to see your progress!
I started watching your videos in 2016 and joined the AF that year. I have since gotten out due to health issues. But you crossed my mind and I had to come back to check in on you. I don't know you from Adam's house cat but I am soooo proud of you! It's like watching a good friend reach their goals. Keep soaring higher, sir. I salute you.
Brother, i’m so glad to see you pursue pilot training in the Air Force! I’ve just enlisted in the Air Force reserve at 35 and will be shipping out to BMT next summer. I hope that even though i’m old, i can be granted a chance to take pilot training.
This is so awesome man I've been watching you for over 8 years lol I joined back in 2016 and got out in 2020. Really love seeing the growth and progress you've made in your career, I wish I had transitioned over to officer like you. Best of luck to you brother, stay blessed!
Been watching you since high school. Even though I didn’t successfully join the military (flat feet), you and Kyle Gott are the GOATs in my book. Congratulations 🫡🤝🏽
I can't believe it!!! You've been answering my questions since I was in DEP and now look! Doesnt mean shit from me but I am proud! Fuck I was 14 when I started watching you actually
I just found your channel and subscribed. My grandson graduated from USAFA in 2022 and he just arrived in Pueblo last week to start IFT and then will be going to Laughlin to complete UFT. Congratulations to you for your long career/journey so far in the Air Force. I really admire your drive, vision and attitude that has served you well. Your family has to be very proud of you. I know I am of my grandson, watching his growth and achievements. God bless you Matt and wishing you the very best in life and career.
Video idea💡: Would you do anything different if you could do it all over again? (Question is more focused on your pilot career path but if you have any general life tips that’ll be greatly appreciated)
I've been watching your early posts about your experience at Lackland's basic training and was impressed by your videos, taking the time to assist and instruct the trainees. I enlisted in the Air Force 53 years ago, when Alcatraz was brand new. There have been many changes over the years. I've advanced to one of your recent posts and I'm delighted that you became a commissioned officer. Whether you realize it or not, you're quite an inspiration to your You Tube viewers. You show the drive, motivation and determination that you truly can make something of yourself in the Air Force. God bless you Lt. Simmons. Keep 'em flying!
been watching you since i was 16 and you made me not feel bad about getting MX, you were aircrew egress i think? I’m Avionics on C5s i thought i’d hate it but there’s nothing i love more. I’m a flying crew chief and avionics as a 21 year old. You’ve been one of the biggest influences in my life. Thank you, but please make that pipeline video i’m thinking about following your path again
Wow man. You’ve come a long way. Congratulations. If you get stationed in Laughlin AFB, please attend all of our communities activities and feast. Del Rio has a lot of great food options. Just need to socialize with the right people, and you’ll know the hot spots.
I can't believe that one year ago May 2022, the family was screaming, from the top of their lungs, WAY TO GO MATTHEW!! So very PROUD of you nephew! May God continue to bless you and keep you safe as you pursue your path in the USAF. ✈🛩✈
Been following you since high school and I also commissioned this past May via rotc. Will you be in class 23-11 for IFT? Hope to see you out there man haha
Congrats! When first flying I found managing the radio to be the trickiest since it is generally hard to understand what people are saying while juggling the actual flying. I'd recommend listening to live radio chatter to get a feel for it. Best of luck
Question Lt. Simmons . Just received the email with the acceptance to the PrepSchool. I was nominated by my State Senator this year 2023. Do I need to be nominated again after completion of Prep School ? Thank you .
I'm studying for my 2nd attempt on the afoqt now. I'm also taking flying lessons in a cesna 172 for my ppl. Do you think it helps getting my ppl before joining?
If you're just trying to commission, then honestly it's probably not going to make much of a difference. But, if you want to pursue a pilot slot, then yes. It'll help improve your PCSM score (Pilot Candidate Selection Method). And it's still a lot of fun!
I have been following you since my son in law and daughter was assigned to Minot for his first duty station. He is headed to Dover Via the Pentagon. He is N E6. I’m proud of both you guys. 🫡
