Starting to fit the Solway interior door and wall panels to my van conversion, I'm using these rather than using wood & carpet or tongue and groove, not only to save weight but to get a more polished look & feel for my conversion.
To find out more info on the panels check their website - solwaycamperconversions.co.uk...

Those panels give a great finish, well worth the money for all the time and effort they will save too. With the price of wood etc at the moment, they are probably very cost effective too. Looks like you've found a great set of products to give a self build a quality finish. Thanks for sharing, and all the tips and hints too

Hi John, great little set of videos for anyone considering a camper conversion, did not realise you could get these Solway panels, look really a professional finish, i know plenty go the wood cladding route but this looks a great finish. I moderate quite a few FB groups and we often get the same old questions, think people use these as ice breakers as such so you may be getting the same thing here.

adressing negativity in comments. Comments can be read in more than one way. Its the worst form of communication because you dont get to see the face of the person. Suggestions are fine-instructions that are abrupt are not. Theres a reason why I always end my comments with the words "repect and regards" and thats because thats how I treat and regard peeps.sadly not everyone is the same and as I found out on facebook when fellow youtubers posted a photo of the progress of their build on a certain van build page, the comments from the "trolls" and keyboard "experts" were disrespectful and disgusting. Respect costs nothing 😊 I said on the previous video how I loved those bespoke panels from Solway- how flippin fantastic do they look! proper professional finish indeed ! I particularly love the panel on the sliding door. I wish Id had one when I did viv-i-van.would have made the door much easier. Loved the video. Loved you and Mandy collaborating on the new build with big beaming smiles which were good to see. The panels look awesome. Respect and regards- Kenny

Great comments John, I’ve often thought that some of the comments and questions look to be phrased without much thought😤 The build is coming along really well and it’s so refreshing to see a self build that doesn’t finish up looking like the inside of a garden shed! My wife and I have followed you and Mandy for some years and, although there have been occasions when I’ve thought ‘maybe I wouldn’t have done it like that’, your build is exactly that; your build, not mine or anyone else’s! Enjoying every episode👍

@@ezioauditore3128 You just demonstrated his point *perfectly* . Put yourself in the place of a *content provider* ..... As in planning (in this case) a full build", taking the trouble to not only detail the method in the video, but also *list* the costs and source of products, then having the not only lazy, but grumpy viewers complain because they haven't even had the sense (or frankly courtesy) to *read the information* . I've been in that situation professionally (as I'm sure has John) where "colleagues" would rely on me to dig them out of trouble without doing the basic faultfinding while complaining when I told them to "RTFM" (Read the .... Manual!) and follow procedure *which was part of their job* before providing me with a list of results and data that I could use to help by phone *before* attending in person. It's quite frankly *disrespectful* . Part from that, the phrase "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" applies? .

Hi Jon, I’ve been watching your videos you’re doing great good and you’ve got some very informative videos, just one thing about the side loading panel fitting you mentioned at about 7 minutes that you had to do a bit of fettling on the side door panel to make it fit, the panel is designed to go behind the handle so what he have to do is remove the snide handle pop the cables off and put them through the hole in the panel, then connect them back to the handle then screw the handle back on over the panel, no fettling required 😂, just a little tip for any else fitting the side panel👍

I am following your build with great interest , you are being very pragmatic , so many self builders over complicate their builds , how many are going to the south and North Pole plus a drive around the equator , all they do is add massive weight with very little benefit , I think you have taken note of the builds from past vans which have had R&D from commercial manufacturing , really enjoying your work .
