Here's a little update on our food forest project in Thailand. We've started to plant our first trees. We are going to plant in the Syntropic Agroforestry method. Also we will discuss where we go next to getting a food forest planted and growing.
There's a lot of growing methods like permaculture and others but we will be using the syntropic method of growing. It's a steep hill to climb but we are up for the new challenge.

JC...Love your program in the past. It feels like you are focused on things not related to New comers. Best wishes to your channel. And you.

I would suggest planting multiple different mosquito repellant plants like mint, citronella, lavender etc. around the house and pond.

VapoRub by Vicks is great for mosquitoes.

Ok, the best thing he mentioned was mow the growth. The grass will overpower the weeds keep at about 3-4 inches, let the mower mulch the cuttings. Soon the grass will take over. Very beautiful lawn.

Can someone give that cutie pie dog some love? Give it a hug or pet it often, please! The poor thing kept wagging that tail, but no one had paid him any attention.

How to build a walk way ( I'm sure you know anyway) basically your need two layers of rock . 0ne .. A base layer of soft rock .. a mixture of various sizes about 100 mill at biggest going down to about 50 mills. Two... A layer of rock about 15 mills to about 5 mills. Should be good 👍. Get it rolled over by the tractor 🚜.. have it about 1 to 2 meters wide ok ? 👌 Great video Thanks.

So much hard work going into your farm and i for one enjoy seeing the progress. For many of the naysayers with negative comments about this man, please be respectful as he has chosen this life and has done well to bring his take and knowledge to the rest of us. Nothing but respect for this brother of mine! He is actually contributing his knowledge to some of us willing to listen and understand. Surely it isnt the life you may aspire to have by spending your money on useless stuff, partying, abuse and alcohol. The rest if us are respectful and are happy to be his friend. Keep us posted on the farm progress.

Thanks for sharing! Many people forget the importance of flowers. Good to see you want to plant flowering trees since it bring the bees to the farm so they can pollinate the fruit trees also.

That pond looks like it needs a system that someone can get out if they fall in. Especially the child.

Looks similar to the Ruth Stout's idea of horticulture. Deep mulch no dig necessary method. Which part of Thailand is your farm?

With the flowering plants do you intend to keep bees as well?

JC, I think you are doing what anyone would do when moving to Thailand. And what you have suggested to your viewers. Move to Thailand, explore the entire country in debt, then decide where to live and what to do. I envy you!

I have a suggestion to save money. Can you find other open areas that are public land and dig up plants. Also, take dirt if you need it. Secondly, for stepping stones or a path, could you cut down a tree on an open field, and slice it and treat the slices and use as a pathway? Lastly, how about rooting plants and air rooting trees? Get people in the village to do the same to help you and give them a nominal fee for it instead of buying plants? If people need to clear land for building houses, could you ask the contractors to let you have the plants?

Awesome! This is an entertaining and interesting video for me, especially since I just bought 2.5 rai (about 1 US acre). I have similar plans.

Thanks for including the @UCf9s-yeskYZweEuKyq1ia6w clip. If you spend any time in the Amazon and new savannas that are being created from slash and burn, one can't help but notice the dramatic change in climate and how soon the land is becomes barren floodplains.

Good that the rain is helping the water management in establishing the first protective layer of shading plants and trees. The science behind this method is crucial for up scaling. Would love to see this method throughout Thailand and elsewhere.

Actually quite hard to watch after several years absence, you have clearly lost your mind. Please some friend or family step in and check out JC's mental health. Being wrong(or half right whatever way it needs to be put) in one judgement call is fine, but following the path to the conclusion doesn't need to happen here I really hope. Someone have a chat with this guy.

I hope this is just a sarcastic remark, because I think it is great what they are doing and spending time with the children 😀
