Starting Your First Zippo Collection Must Have Zippos 

I see alot of people selling zippos labeled 1950s but when you look at the markings on the bottom most are late 60s to 80s.

For me, I think it comes down to just getting what catches your eye. If you don't know what to get, just browse and see what you like. I wouldn't rush it either.

One of the most impressive pieces to feel in your hand and to show off during EDC is the Camel '32 Replica 2nd Release with its two surface pewter emblem. If you can find a good used one for around $40 you are doing good. When they came out they were i think a Camel C-note lighter, but i would not pay $150 for one. They are absolutely classic, but they are not rare.

Was just looking for the 35 replica, it says zippo has it on they’re website with or with our slashe’s

So, I have the first 5, but before I begin on the collectibles, I want my share of all the different finishes. preferably in armor. My most recent purchase is the Armor Ebony Engine Turn Star, and the Ancient Copper World Map Design. I keep wondering if I should get the iridiscent, spectrum and fusion finishes. My everyday use one is actually a simple goldust with a brass insert; goes with everything.

Had to return to this vid. All good advice. Can't recommend the "fat boy" 1941 Replica enough. With its shorter and fatter dimensions, slab sides, flat bottom, i think no other Zippo design feels as good in a guy's hand as this one (my toxic masculinity kicks in). The non-busy 4-barrel hinge, 7-hole insert, and hollow wheel rivet are nostalgic eye candy to gaze at when I'm lighting up a fine cigar. I think it's no surprise the '41 Replica was chosen as the design for the 18k signet ring Zippo that was done to honor George Blaisdell (only 300 of them). My favorite carry Zippo of all time is the #23 '41 sterling. My opinion is that the '41 was Zippo's pinnacle design, hands down.
