Exceptional collection. Because you own watches from affordable to luxury and in between, you’re a true watch enthusiast, not a snobbish collector. The range of affordable to luxury watches in your collection is what I like the most here. Kudos 🤘🏻 🔥
Behind an inexpensive collection can be a snobbish collector. Behind a very expensive collection can be a humble collector. You never know, just because youre seeing from your own eyes coming from not being able to afford anything, it isn't correct to judge someone who can, as being snobbish.
I think u would love the Seiko Cocktail Presage watches. I’m not an expert but they have 2 different dial variants and they come in beautiful colours that play with the light amazingly. I think I’m going to buy one of them myself but I can’t decide which colour or dial variant I like best
I forget that Smiths exists, but every time I see one I feel the urge to ruin my life financially to own one lol. Definitely my favorite from your collection, props!
Damn bro, you're rich :D My collection will have Pagani design's GMT homage (batman) in a month or so (90 USD watch), while yours has the actual batman :D Well, I will just continue lying to myself that I'm going to base my watch collection on the best $ value instead of the best quality watches ;)
You doing good sir, anyone with a rolex (or a couple of them) and some omega's in their collection is deffo doing good! :) It's a beautiful one for sure. Hope one day I get to have some money on the side that I will be able to use to buy a rolex (I love date just) and not just save it for when "something more important" is needed :) 'till then I will focus on lower end Seiko's, Citizen's, Orient's, Tissot's and similar@@welcomewrist
@@Novica89 I used to own some orient and orient star. Looking to get back into them, hoping for a kamasu or ray with a smaller case and coloured bezel.
Man your colleciton has evolved massively! So great to see a variety of brands in different price ranges too. The Khaki Field and the World Timer are stand outs for me. Can't wait to see how your collection looks in 2024.
4 mins in and I agree with you on the hamilton khaki field. I have one as a beater watch (with nato straps) and I keep coming back to this one. little strap monster and the different strap colors bring out different colors the watch has. super versatile and enjoyable.
They are well built, but the movement is disappointing. It’s a top grade Selitta, but both of my 556’s had the helicopter rotor issue, and I think for the price, Sinn could decorate the movement a little more. Either that, or lower the price a little and just put on a solid caseback
Great collection! I like it a lot! You’re missing Tudor and titanium. So maybe a Pelagos 39 would be a good addition. I like the standard Pelagos more, but the 39mm would suit your wrist size better.
very broad collection. and good video, thank you. have to say though, top five: your Hamilton, your Speedmaster, your AirKing and your two GMTs: they nail it in five watches… and I’m a Seiko guy. fwiw i think if you checked out the vintage Turtle and Tuna models you’d be impressed. I’ve come away from new Seiko in favour of vintage: they were so good back in the 70s.
Smiths Everest would be my first choice as Omegas are out of the budget :). It seems you are a bracelet guy not a leather strap guy. Enjoy in good health. be well
Some lovely watches. They don’t half all look similar though. It’s like you have 20 variations of 1 watch. We all do this hobby differently though, you do you dude.
That’s a lot of money on that table. Very nice collection. I’m a bracelet guy too, although I do have a much better mix currently in my collection of 6. Here is my collection My favorite watch: 3861 Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Sapphire Sandwich The watch that I’ve owned the longest: Tudor Blue Bay 58 My dress watch: King Seiko SJE083 LE My beaters: G shock DWM5610U1, that same white dialed Hamilton Khaki Mechanical, and the new 24’ Seiko Samurai with a black dial and gunmetal case.
Actually real outdoorsman would tell you G-shocks don’t survive extreme temperatures, the batteries can’t handle it like a Rolex would, actually Rolex beats a lot of brands when tested to extreme.
Most the time I just pick up what I feel like wearing on the day, but it can change depending on the occasion. I'll sometimes change watches throughout the day too.
Beautiful collection tbh.. I think you should top it off with a kinda dressy ones like a Cartier or a Grand Seiko then take a long well deserved watch break
Really nice collection bro but def missing a gold piece having a bat girl and and Pepsi doesn’t make a ton of sense to me since it’s basically the same watch with a different bezel insert but other then that this is one of the better collections I’ve seen. Maybe oneday you’d get into a few vintage pieces that’ll be cool to add
if you never owned a sinn you will be 26:21 offended by what he says here but i agree it's a tool watch made to take a beating over engineered a watch brand so underrated.. you will see 10 speedmaster a day but when u see the fleiger on someone you will never go back to speedy unfortunately i'm talking about my self here and i don't regeret my decision
Enjoyed this. Great collection! Leans sport, but you be you. I dare say, my favorite is the prior gen Seiko 5. Love that dial! Maybe next is dress watch on leather? 😊
Great watch collection, started just like mine, some watches I got as I gift, some I’ve bought abroad, one of them is more than 18 years old, some watches I bought over the last 6 years but now with over 50 watches I stepped into an upper level I got a Pepsi a Airking and also a Submariner plus many brands like Tag, Seiko, Citizen, Bulova, Tissot etc…
Hello, and thanks for this video Welcome Wrist. With many Seikos and Rolexes it could have been one of these so many "Perfect RU-vidr collector" collections ... But you succeded to have any Casio, nor any Tudor in it. ;) And, most important, we could feel passion about your collection (and not just "I paid xxx$ for this one and yyy€ for this one"). And we could appreciate your personal journey into collecting watches (the way you modified some of your Seikos, the fact that, if you have to keep only one watch, it will be the Khaki Field, etc ...) Once again, thank you for this video. I'll be glad to discover the next state of the collection. :)
Nice. Out of all the watches, that Seiko SRPJ89 really caught my eye. Nice green dial with that metal ring, and I'm a bit weak for slightly domed crystals. Certainly not the most expensive piece in your collection, but really nice looking. It fits extremely well on your wrist.
5 seconds into the video observation- someone likes bracelets. After watching the video it's a great collection and we have the Hamilton khaki polar and Seiko king turtle "dark manta" in common.
I'm considering changing my Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic to the Mechanical version and the vintage styling and hand wound basics just appeal so much 😊
I'm just here for the Seiko Sarb033. One of my favorite watches from my collection early on before it got discontinued. Not a fan of the customization but hey all the power to you.
You have a nice collection. But I wonder all of them come with steel bracelet. Don't you get tired of always wearing them with steel strap? Don't you ever feel like wrapping them up with nice leather?
This is a lot of variations of the same steel bracelet watch. I mean no disrespect, I'm a longtime subscriber and I like your channel, but this is Adrian Barker level boring, no variety at all.
Thank you for the support! I appreciate the feedback and will try to incorporate straps into my next SOTC. I had some watches on straps, but I put the bracelets back on for consistency.
I'm a little surprised that you don't have an Orient in your collection. I liked your collection, the order is great, I would like to say that it impressed me, especially the progression from Citizen to other top models. I was happy to have Citizen in the collection because I own a Tsuyosa, it's a great collection.❤❤❤❤❤
I loved the video but the background music has to go - your dialogue was spot on but the music made me almost move on. Loved the video - just kill the music. Cb
I've been collecting for about 10 years. I'm currently trying to find the ideal number myself, and have downsized since this video. The next SOTC will be an interesting one.
Hey man, liked the video & your collection. Just a small bit of (hopefully) constructive criticism: I noticed that sometimes you try to talk slowly by leaving small breaks between the words you are saying. Example: 11:12 - I find that very annoying since it sounds like you are not really sure what you want to say and it does not help with the flow of the video. Just speak normally. Maybe other people have overheard it, but once you notice it, you can't overhear it.
My apologies and a huge thank you for the feedback. I appreciate the support and criticism. Sometimes I get a mind blank when talking off the top of my head and the pauses help me recall what I've said and what I haven't said. I also notice the pauses when I watch back my videos, and I mainly keep them in as its a true depiction of what I say in the moment. I completely understand how it can be annoying and I will try my best to reduce the pauses.
Great collection. I'm like you - I much prefer a stainless steel bracelet to leather strap. Kennedys must been looking after you for those GMT-II's! For my personal tastes, on the top row I'd sell all except the sarb and king turtle, because I cap my collection at 12. I have tried titanium but don't like it - feels too light and looks too dull. The blue hue around the crystal edge on that Smiths would drive me nuts. I had a microbrand watch from the UK that also had that - wasn't a Smiths though. It drove me nuts and I had to get rid of it for that reason alone. I absolutely love that sarb though and what you did with it. I'd put in a sapphire crystal if not already. For the King turtle I have one and hated the steel bracelet. Well mine is a standard turtle but modded with sapphire and bezel tweaks. I love the style and fit, and wear it on an FKM rubber strap, which flops around a lot less than the steel bracelet as that turtle watch head tends to be top-heavy. For the bottom row I'd keep the dark green Omega AT, the speedy, the pepsi, and the Sinn on the far right. My reasoning is also to keep the collection down but specifically - that world timer reminds me that my eyesight is no good as the text is really small and I wouldn't be able to read it. The Air-King is just a mass of numbers to me - mostly 5's - and I don't vibe with it. Probably another eyesight thing. I'd sell the Batman as you have the Pepsi, and the Pepsi might get discontinued next year. That Sinn chrono is cool, but you already have the speedy. So yeah I'd build a 6 watch collection out of what you have, leaving me 6 slots to fill with other pieces :)
