Here I demonstrate how to create a STATIC redirect using an anchor ring, a rope and a carabiner!
SPONSORS/GEAR COMPANIES/ADVERTISERS/BRAND DEALS: Please kindly reach out to me at my email address, which is as follows: knotorious.contact@gmail.com I am more than willing to honestly, fairly and scientifically review gear of any kind, such as mechanical devices, hitch/tech cords, eye to eye prusiks/prusik loops/split tails, tools, hardware (pulleys, carabiners, rings, etc.), ropes, accessory cord, boots, gloves, helmets, and quite literally anything related to tree climbing whatsoever.
CONTACT: I can be reached at knotorious.contact@gmail.com! If you have questions, or concerns about anything whatsoever regarding myself or my content/videos, or ideas for new content/videos for my channel, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email. I am always more than willing to answer questions and/or provide suggestions and/or direction and in depth explanations to anyone, about anything regarding knots, tree climbing, gear, methods/techniques, terminology, mechanical advantage (pulley systems), friction hitches and hitch cords, creating/developing/testing new knots and hitches, advice and recommendations, safety data and procedures/PPE, reviews on gear/equipment/hardware based off of my personal experiences with a lot of different items, and so on and so forth, etc.

Yes, I'm fat and overweight. PLEASE do NOT comment on my heavy breathing or shaky hands (vitamin B deficiency)! Let's keep the comments section for relevant discussion! Thank you!

Haven't been in your comments section for a minute, but I can't believe that's really still a thing. I would bet that its mostly randos that the algorithm has sent your way. Maybe look at those comments as an indication of the algorithm deeming your videos good enough to push it into more peoples feeds? Anyway, I am rootin' hard for ya bud, most people have no clue how much work it is to make even a quick video like this one.

Thank you so much! You truly seem to understand RU-vid and how difficult it is to film oneself in the trees! I appreciate your support! Truly! I get a lot of hate from randos about my weight and breathing. So petty. Someone just yesterday told me to get on a diet lmao I was like, "bruh."

What's wrong with the tree? It was perfect for this demo and right next to where I live. Easy peasy. Sorry it underwhelmed you, brother! EDIT: You had a laughing emoji. Not sure if you were serious or not. I think it is a badass tree. Please clarify! Thanks!

@@Knot-oriousthe tree is dope, i’m sure he’s agreeing.. i think he just put the laughing emoji since he wasn’t paying attention to the subject of the video -since he was looking at the tree

Haha, I'm sure you're right. Been getting a lot of petty criticism lately, so it's sometimes hard to discern when someone is joking or not. Thanks for helping me figure this one out!

The trees are really green down there. Leaves are just starting to bud up here. 👍

They're green all year, my friend! Very few trees around here will drop their leaves at any point during a calander year! That's partly why I'm pumped to go back to MA, because during the winter it's nice to have leafless trees to play around in!

Thank you so much! Yes, I have A LOT more to come! I've got enough content to take me into August ready to be published to my channel for excellent viewers like yourself! It's awesome to be in a tree and to educate like-minded people about climbing techniques! Been going down this redirect rabbit hole (as you've probably noticed) and, when all is said and done, I'll have created over 20+ long form and 20+ short form videos about various redirects! Redirects are important to tree climbers! I'm sure you understand the allure! I want my channel to be THE number one place for redirect/climbing, hitch, and knot videos! I think I've succeeded! Thanks so much for your comment and for your long term support! I never forget a friendly username! =-D

This would be retrievable, correct? If you connected your tail to the carabiner?
@Knot-orious
@Knot-orious 2 месяца назад
You might be able to retrieve it that way, but I think it would be difficult. Here is a truly retrievable option that I recently made a video for by a guy who goes by Free Fallin on RU-vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l_kO7tnrmik.html More to come as well! Hey really nice video as always Do you have any technic to use a macanical advantage on the rope runner pro without making it collapse ?
@Knot-orious
@Knot-orious 2 месяца назад
Yes, I do. If you place a carabiner or pulley about six inches or more below the Rope Runner Pro and have the rope exit through the bottom of the RRP and then out, around another pulley or carabiner above the device and then back to your, it won't collapse. If you need me to demonstrate this, I'll make a video for you about it. You hopefully understand what I'm trying to say. But if you don't, reach out to me at knotorious.contact@gmail.com and I'll draw you a diagram. But great idea for a video! I think I might be the only person on the planet who has figured this out! Never seen anyone else do it. I demo it in a video that's coming out, but it's about a redirect, not about that method. But maybe I can privately give you sneak peak of that video so you can understand! I'll also definitely make a video just about this method in the future! Thanks for the inspiration!

@@liambouttemy2455 You are so very welcome for the help! There are WAY too many RU-vidrs who spend all of their time focused on content creation and who spend little to no time responding to comments. As for me, I make sure I respond to 99% of my comments (without exaggeration) because I truly enjoy interacting with my viewers/loyal subscribers and I love to educate others, and to help my fellow tree climbers get better at climbing! I can tell by all of the "accent aigu" in your comment that you are typing on a French keyboard! haha Don't worry about it! I can understand everything you're saying and you're English is pretty good! Again, please do not hesitate to ask as many questions as you want; there are no stupid questions! Also, my email is always open and I love to help my subscribers find answers and solve any problems they may have! As an active participant in my community, you are important to me and I am willing to spend as much time as is necessary to help you improve your abilities and to become more knowledgeable! I'm excited to hear that you have been testing out some of my techniques and that they are working for you! Keep trying out new things and pushing your comfort level! That's how you'll grow as a tree climber! =-D

@@liambouttemy2455 Also, I've decided to share with you PRIVATELY my video that shows me using this technique with the RRP. So please do not share this with anyone else. You will need this link to view the video. You will see how I place a carabiner below my RRP and, after I show my descent from the tree, I briefly explain how it works. Ideally, you want to have the carabiner even farther below the RRP than I showed in this video. I would do this by shortening my second bridge with the carabiner OR using my lower D instead, but this will help you understand how it works. Let me know what you think! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7nivvkR38JI.html
