This game really loses my immersion when it tells me I have a girlfriend

youtube thinks this game is "slender: the eight pages". like what? is youtube just like: "whats your favorite anime girl" "Slender."

I think the story here is that the dark haired boy is Sam, he likes to record people without their permission. Nicki, Angela and Norman the real boyfriend, prank Sam playing with his emotions and probably recording him nude. Sam then steals Norman’s phone uses it to lure Nicki to the park or forest and kidnaps her. Sam must’ve also knocked Norman out, framed him for Nicki’s kidnapping and make the tapes sending them out. Norman’s life now ruined kills himself and Sam is still torturing Nicki. That’s what I gathered from this, but the plot hole confusing me most is why the cops would think Norman did it even though he was in a coma while the tapes were still being sent out?

Ah yes, Slender: The Eight Pages.

The first scene and the last scene is from the perspective of the neighbor, Ms. Jefferies. That's why in the beginning, you head outside and leave, since you saw the mom in the window at the beginning. Presumably, Sam killed his mom, which is why you don't see her and he pretends to call out to her. When you re-exit the room after the set of dialogue, you find the video, and you're watching the entire video ("the gore tape"). After you (Ms. Jefferies) finish watching the video (play through the entire game), you notice that Sam's mom is not present and with the sudden realization that what you watched might be true, you call 911. Thus, the ending mentioning the "gore tapes." Those parts of the narrative are pretty clear, but the rest is pretty muddled, imo. Like, who's distributing the tapes? How'd one get to your front door? Did Sam want to show his motive for killing Nicki? Is it from the ghost of Sam? Is another person dropping them off (like the other boy we see at the end when Sam gets humiliated)? The timeline doesn't make sense, if we assume that the newspaper clippings are true, since there's a difference in terms of how Sam's actions get found out. Was it Ms. Jefferies' call that caused Sam to be arrested, or was it the phone record from Nicki's phone? Sort of confusing there.

"Hey, I've come by to talk to your mother and I saw her in the window! Could you go grab her for me?" "Ah sorry, she isnt home. I'll shout for her to make sure!" ... Bro, if she saw someone in the window and your mom isnt returning you calling, you should probably call the cops and get out of the house.

I was just genuinely curious about MV3D's capabilities and decided to make a semi campy horror game. It uses VRoid models and is freeware for a reason :D I'm actually working on a new big game now with an active battle system similar to OTHER: Her loving embrace, Crystal Story, and Undertale, which would combine different aesthetics(RPG Maker, ATARI) and dimensions (2D, 2.5D, rarely 3D). From what I understand Nicki pulled a prank on Sam that humiliated him infront of Angela a girl he liked. He steals Norman’s cellphone and lure Nicki out at night to kill her. Norman gets framed for the murder and commits suicide in jail. Sam has gone insane over the ordeal as he tortures Nicki while spreading tapes around. Ms. Jefferson calls the police on Sam and he ultimately gets shot by the police. The last line of new tapes still doesn’t make sense to me though

Protagonist turns out to actually be the antagonist and is stuck in his own personal hell maybe...?🤔🤔🤔

You look out your window and think you see Sam’s mother, but it was Nicki you saw. Then the video shows us Norman (I think) playing guitar being approached by Angela. Nicki is not pleased with what she thinks is flirting & you/Norman leave the club with her to have a movie night date. Nicki hears a noise from the basement, Norman goes to investigate. Suddenly, a girl who looks like Nicki - but isn’t Nicki? - says you weren’t supposed to see a torture dungeon, and comes at you with a knife while wearing underwear. Then there is a school with a morgue, because every school has a morgue. So... basically hashtag anime and everyone's dead. Except Angela who to this day, continues to search for a biology partner. And by now, probably a marriage partner too.

I just love that this came out 4 minutes ago but there are people that were here six-seven minutes ago. Logical...

Ok here's my take. Guy likes Nicki, she notices by the video recordings. She bullies him with the 2 others. That gives protag motive to hate/kill Nicki. But he didn't do it. All that's there is the text between the 2. But the other 2 during this which includes the other guy, make protag take the absolute fall for everything after they kill Nicki. He's the "face" of the murders hence why he looks the way he does in the end to show he's being held responsible. Then in the end is just some random person dialing 911 because they heard that stuff going on because the other 2 now being free of suspicion, can continue making gore tapes.

Anime is innocent you were the villain all along. Some parts are a little jarring but if you ignore the puzzles and trying to scare the player aspect of the the game I think the story goes as follows: - Miss Jefferies was listening to a horror radio broadcast and notice a female figure standing in her neighbor's house. She thinks it's Sam's mom and has been wanting to talk to her so she goes to their house. Sam denies his mom being home so Miss Jefferies went back home only to find a mysterious video tape on her front door step. She watches the video tape. -It shows Sam playing guitar and Ashley clearly crushing on him. Unfortunately, Sam is not interested in Ashley (he doesn't even care to remember her name) and is more interested in Nicki. Sam goes as far as to stalk Nicki while video recording her. Possibly even hiding in her basement + recording her while she's in the shower. (I think the creator forgot to change the one model at Edit: 14:56 to the current one) - Eventually Nicki finds out about the recordings along with her boyfriend. She decides to take revenge/prank Sam along with Ashley and her boyfriend Norman by having him be recorded naked at the school. - For this humiliation, Sam somehow knocks Norman unconscious and takes him to the forest. He then lures Nicki to meet in the forest through her boyfriend's phone. The location is jarring after that if she died in the forest or in a basement but eventually he murders her and even films it. He leaks the footage eventually. - The boyfriend, who is being called ex-boyfriend since Nicki is dead, is framed for the murder. Upon waking up from his comatose state Norman doesn't remember anything what happened. He is horrified to learn that Nicki is dead. Norman ends his own life the footage of a dead Nicki. - Miss Jefferies is watching video clips of what really transgressed with Nicki indicating Sam as the killer rather than Norman. The body of Nicki was never found, only her belongings were. Miss Jefferies realizes that the person through the window was possibly Nicki's body Sam was keeping. She calls the police. - Nicki's ghost was the one who sent the video tape to Miss Jefferies and other people to try and show the true story.

The plot makes no sense to me.

That was really weird. I generally quite like this developer's ambition and I do get that sense here, but I also feel like this game is meant to have a big comedic edge to it. There's some stuff here too silly to take serious. I don't dislike it, but I do prefer their other games.

That Tales of Phantasia poster made me squeal in excitement. Your gameplay too tickles my fancy. When the anime threatens to eat your useless and empty soul it's probably time to bunker down and stop resisting. No substitutions!
