i started listening to propagandhi when i was 12, back in '93 and fell in love, of course, but i didn't realize that chris was singing while shredding. as i got older and learned about recording i assumed that chris must not sound that good singing live since he had to focus on playing fast, syncopated riffs while trying to sing, or, that his guitar playing must suffer live as he focussed more on singing. i assumed this bc that's almost always how it is with live singer/gitarists, and i'm usually disappointed with most bands' live performances in general bc of overdubs and all the 'bells and whistles' that are on albums but not played live. BUT - - - chris and the band sounded fucking amazing live when i saw them finally a few years back. it's just so rad to know that they're out there killing it still. it's dope that they shared this video too. thanks, fellas. i know i am late on that but i just stumbled on to the vid. : )
You guys rehearse like you play live? That's fucking brilliant! No wonder your live sets are so tight. So do you mic the amps and send it through the monitor to Jord?
Um, excuse me, but I believe the song "Status Update" appeared on your 2012 Failed States LP and not on Supporting Caste. DUH. Welcome to youtube, fuckers. ;)
+sethuberalles This rehearsal was recorded before Failed States has been recorded. I've watched this video on Facebook during the production of this record.
