You should hear his horrendous title song he sang for the movie Paradise Alley. It's so bad but the movie is pretty good. He should have had Frank sing that one. I still don't know why he did that. Probably was on such a high from Rocky that he had a bunch of yes men who when asked by Stallone should I sing the song? Yes sly sing it you can do anything 😆
Who really thought this guy could sing lol. I remember seeing this in theaters and laughing my a$$ off lol. The theater manager came down and told me to stop laughing so loud and long or he was going to ask me to leave. I’m crying laughing now lol. Best comedy ever!
It's rare for me to say this about anyone but I have much respect for Stallone. This man is a true entertainer and he is very talented. I have never seen a movie of his that I didn't like. I loved the movies that critics disapproved of like this, stop or my mom will shoot and Oscar. I actually like this song it just feels like they were having fun.

The dirty trick the bad guy played backfired here. The cab driver identified with the hecklers and won them over. Once he did that, everything got a lot easier.

Trucker Kev The Paid Tourist thanks for replying, but have to disagree! Dolly and Sly are fun and charming at any age, and I would love to see them together again! And since the original Rhinestone was pretty much a “laughingstock” - albeit one in which you were laughing with them - I don’t see how a sequel could do much worse. One possible accommodation to attract a younger demographic could be to have a plot in which Dolly and Sly are training a younger singer or singers, who could.be played by today’s music or acting superstars. Sort of a Creed 2 meets Rhinestone! What do people think of that?
@@saimcheeda93 He does have fond memories of working with Dolly, as she does with him, and they may want to work together again. And Sly may see this as one of his bombs, like Rocky V, that needs to be fixed with another movie in the franchise. The failure of Rocky V was what prompted him to make Rocky Balboa!
Sly is a beast... A great writer, actor and even singer... Close too paradise was a song sung by him for his first directed movie Paradise Alley and it was a hell of a song

I think this performance showcases Sly Stallone excellent sense of humor better than any other movie besides the movie Oscar where he plays his role so solemn because he does not get to cut up and play funny

To be honest Sly is not a bad singer I think Rhinestone is one of his most underrated movies it showed how diverse Sly is Cop-Land is a classic as well and Rhinestone is just fuckin comedy gold brilliant actor!!
