Dear God
I hope you don’t take this the wrong way
But I'm tired
Tired of praying & seeing nothing change
But that’s exactly why you gave us your word. For moments just like these
When we need our faith strengthened, because its in our faith that we find … Hope
You said in your word, that faith is the evidence of things not seen.
So I'll walk by faith and not by sight
Knowing that hope doesn’t remove pain but it is a tool to help me through it.
And God I would be lying if I said it doesn’t hurt to hold on to hope sometimes
But the only thing that hurts more than hope is hopelessness
So ill keep running and take it one day at a time
And in the event that I start to doubt you
Remind me If she can fight to stay positive while losing her mind to dementia , than who am I, to not endure!
Use my dreams to make the world a better and more loving place
Use my hope as a reason to fight, when there’s nothing else to fight for
Use my shortcomings as inspiration to show the lost, if I can do it so can they
I know you have plans to prosper me and not to harm me
So today I pray that you, correct my thoughts, keep my hope alive and help me stay positive
Because if I don’t quit I win. Thank you for loving me.
