Staying at THE D LAS VEGAS Hotel & Casino on FREMONT STREET! 

We have stayed at The D twice. I honestly wanted to go back because the Hot Dog place was great the first time. Mediocre the second. I loved people watching. The only negative thing (and it’s BIG), was we self parked in the structure. We checked out to head home and found that our Jeep Wrangler had been broken into. The entire driver’s side door glass was shattered (a huge mess). There were items hidden away on the back floor that they took. We went right back in and re-registered and went back to the same room (still not cleaned). My husband spent an entire day at the police station giving a statement and making a report. We paid full price and taxes and fees to stay there one more night. It was wintertime and when we left the best we could do to insulate the Jeep from the icy cold weather was that we got heavy duty plastic and duct tape to replace the shattered glass. Obviously we had to replace that ASAP when we came home. It left a bad taste, so to speak. We haven’t been back. People watching on Fremont Street was a hoot. There is a lot going on in a small area (compared to the strip). Overall, I would resist going back. We understood that parking in the lot was at our own peril. I would have thought they would have adjusted the room rate considering we were out a couple of thousand dollars in the items stolen. Otherwise there were some positive things like people watching and having everything so close. I won’t go back.

I haven’t stayed there in a long time. Was a little apprehensive to go back after a lady got robbed and assaulted in the elevator. Glad to see the rooms are still in decent shape.

That hole in the shower is for you to reach in and turn on the shower. Some people like to turn on the shower water and let it warm up before getting in.

The hole in the shower glass thing is there to allow for starting the shower in advance without getting wet :)

The D is my go to in Vegas! Good price nice rooms. I miss the cafe they had up top. Some of the best sweet cream pancakes ever made!

STAYED @ THE D MANY TIMES / GOODTIMES / HAD ALOT OF FUN @ THE LONG BAR !

Stayed there. If you don't mind the LOUD noise during the nite go for it. Or get a room away from Fremont St. When we checked in we got a room that wasn't even cleaned yet!! It was a mess!! We had to wait several hours to get a cleaned room! Good location despite the crowd and loud music at nite!! Just my input staying at the D.

Always a nice detail of the hotel! How do you like your Keurig? I was thinking about getting one like it.

Stayed here this year for edc ! Also on the 5th floor but facing the other direction ! The loud noise didn’t bug me because I’m a raver and I’ve slept through louder music . Didn’t know I could use stadium swim . I was bummed that we didn’t get those chairs or tables in our room , nor a refrigerator. Only nice thing is it’s downtown and close to the speedway and Thursday night we saw a concert downtown and that was convenient . I still feel it’s a bit overpriced for what we got but it was also edc weekend so prices just higher than normal .

Good review and the price was sweet. Great to have access to Stadium Swim. I wonder how the restaurant

The D’s elevators work similarly to Circa, which makes sense since they’re linked. Also, at the 2nd floor of the casino is an old school horse racing game called Sigma Derby - only now found in very select casinos across the country. Anyways, as always.. great vid Jay!

Ive stayed at the D for the past 10yrs, have really slipped, im out until rooms remodeled!

I stayed at the D, beds were uncomfortable and you can hear the music late at night. So if you need rest I don't recommend

I stayed at the D, probably the worst room I've had in Vegas! As far as downtown, I've only stayed at Circa and Golden Nugget. On the strip I've stayed at Cosmo, Aria, MGM Grand, Cromwell and the Horseshoe. The elevator floor was stained from a recent spillage and not cleaned up, the bathroom was like yours but the shower ran straight into floor with no shower pan separating bathroom from shower, I passed on taking a shower. Also the last time I tried to use Nacho Daddy's with my $100.00 allowance on players card it was denied (used two other times before at Nacho daddy's?) Went back to D after Nacho Daddy manager told me to get refunded at the D and "crappy" employee at Club One stated you can only use Club One card at on sight restaurants. The clientele at The D is rough as well. If you got the money stay at Circa! Same owner of The D and Golden Gate.
