We just love the Disneyland Hotel. All the special details just make it magical there.:)

The Adventure Tower was the original tower, formally called the Sierra tower - that goes back to 1962 (enlarged a few years later). The Fantasy Tower came in 1972, then called the Marina Tower due to the boat marina that was there at the time (yes, there was a land-locked boat marina!). The Frontier Tower was originally called the Bonita Tower, name after the wife of Jack Wrather who owned the Disneyland Hotel up until 1988. I first stayed there in 1959 (age 2) when they only had the motel “bungalows” rooms - each had an orange tree in the lower patio!

We stayed in the Fantasy tower last December and enjoyed it. I also loved the headboards! I don't think my family appreciated it as much as I did, but we all had fun!

I haven't looked for a while, but at least two years ago PF Chang's sold panko crusted long beans in the frozen aisle at the grocery store that tasted comparable to those long beans at Trader Sam's

Nate, I'm fairly new to your channel, but I totally *love* your videos! You have a sweet spirit about you which I really like. When I was just 10 years old, in June of 1967, just months after my dad passed prematurely, my mom and our next door neighbors took me to Disneyland (there was no Disneyworld at the time, of course). We lived in New Orleans, and it was my first plane flight ever, nonstop to Los Angeles. To say I was excited would be the understatement of millennium! We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, which had opened just a little over a decade before; we couldn't afford to stay in the tower, but reserved "garden rooms" instead, which were just to the side of the tower on ground level. The room had a small courtyard that even had a citrus fruit tree in it! Inside Disneyland, Pirates of the Caribbean had just opened a few months prior, so in retrospect, it was cool to be riding it as a fairly new ride. Haunted Mansion had not yet quite opened, but it was close to opening. Coming from New Orleans in June, we reveled in the cooler southern California weather - and while there were freeways then, Los Angeles was not yet the monster of a city it is today... sweet memories, all of them. I think my mom enjoyed it even more than I did - she particularly liked the Tiki Room show. Your corner suite looked just so amazing in this video - thank you for sharing it with us!

I'm so happy I found your channel. You remind me of a younger version of my grandfather. He'd wear the same shirts, take me to Disney often as a kid, and had a similar personality. I hope it's not weird to say thank you for taking me down memory lane lol.

So two things I have to note about what you said about Trader Sams in Disneyland. I know you go way more than I do but our experiences were totally different. We WERE able to make a ressie for the Trader Sams in DL (I know you can’t in WDW). And also, we got the big Shipwreck for 2 or whatever but we told our server we didn’t want to buy the souvenir glass it came in and he said that was ok, he still served our drink in it, we just couldn’t take it home with us. So we WERE able to get a drink IN the souvenir mug without having to pay to take it home with us.

Thank you for sharing your accommodations and the Disneyland Resort experiences! I dined for my very first time on Monday at Trader Sam’s! Although I sat outside and didn’t attempt to see the inside lounge, I think it gives me a good excuse to return and splurge on high-priced Disney cuisine that’s appetizing but not exceptional for the price. I suspect the hotel accommodations were equally outrageously priced. So I’m new to your channel and I’m interested in your perspective as a RU-vid content creator.

So I remember staying here with my sister when we were kids and that was the last time we were ever to be able to afford to stay there! We were born and raised in Simi Valley, California, which is about an hour from Anaheim maybe less and every summer before my dad passed away he would take us to Disneyland on our way to Lake Tahoe And we would always stay in the tower that faced the marina and my sister and I would always go down to that area and we would play with the little automatic boat races that he had in this little area. They were tiny little miniature boats that you put money in and then you can control the boats and then we would go to the gift shop and buy candy and then come back and play with the boats again I just remember being a fun time in a really good memory, I don’t really remember much else about that time other than going to Disneyland but believe it or not those rooms were only like 40 $50 a night nothing like what it is now so unfortunately we’ve never been able to afford to stay there again I’m so glad you got the opportunity to stay there though. If anyone deserves to stay in a compt room at DL it would be you.

I stayed in one those corner suites as a 90s kid I think I slept on a pullout. A few years ago we stayed in a suite in the Adventure tower it had one huge living room w the rooms connected it was Amazing! And up in the lounge is awesome place to watch the fireworks free food and drinks a really nice server named Robert my whole fam loves him everytime we gat there were like wheres Robert and then I got my pic w him😊 The whole staff is so nice👍We were there when Indi open in 90s we stood in line for almost 4hrs they gave us this attt decoder to decipher the markings on the wall😀

We had annual passes for Disneyland for about 10 years (until I moved to Florida). All rooms used to have small balconies until an incident (we were there staying in the same tower the incident occured) happened. We were also staying there for the last day of the Koi fish. Did you notice that the D ticket pool is in the shape of a doggy bone? Also, have you found the donut in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride?

I got free brunch at cheesecake factory apparently insect or a cockroach ill bee runs across the table. They have to give you a free meal because they might get sued so I got a free meal or like a brunch 4 cheesecakes for free I saw the paper tip. It was a bargain just because insect ran across the table the lucky day

hey Nate! we were there just a day or two after you. We were on Pirates when they had to e-stop the ride and we got evacuated! I had to climb over the rows of the boats to reach land to go backstage. and we stayed at Adventure tower!

The Disneyland Monorails have windows becasue they do not have air consitioning - it is horrible on a hot day - too hot and they do not run them
