Great Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Panilliaan Immaterial Prevalence (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great exclusive guide for protecting your family from danger minus the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my coo-worker at last got excellent success with it.

Had this in a pub in the Cotswolds , cooked my gammon perfect , but u have to do it quick the heat doesn't last that long , eat your chips after

Hi Rob, fully heated you'll get 20-30mins sizzle time which is well over the average meal eating time. You'll likely run out of meat before you run out of heat! Glad you enjoyed the eperience!

I placed my large sharing stone in the oven at 550 Fahrenheit for 45 It did not sizzle much or keep its heat enough to cook the steak. I had to place them on the grill to finish them
@SteakStones
@SteakStones 3 года назад
Hi Merit, we do recommend between 550-660f, so to get to the higher heat try under your Broiler for 20-30mins and you will get a little more sizzle. Thanks

Hi just recently purchased 4 of the share platters, heated in the oven on max temp for 1 hr and 30 mins, was so excited to have the family over to use them! Did the sizzle test, all good, gave them a light coat of oil (no smoke or sizzle happened) but when on table and placed meat etc they did not sizzle much, and meat never sealed/browned, was soooooooo disappointed! What went wrong?.. help?
@SteakStones
@SteakStones 4 года назад
Hi Daniela, thanks for your purchase and sorry the first attempt didn’t give you the perfect experience. Sometimes the sizzle test confuses in that if the water sizzles, they’re ready to go. The water will sizzle on the stone at around 240c, but this is not hot enough to cook as desired. The key with the sizzle test, is that the water instantly sizzles, but completely evaporates on or before 10secs. It is probably the case that the Oven doesn’t have quite a high enough max temperature (lots are still 240-250c max). However, if you place the stone as close as you can to the element on the grill setting, this will get the stones much closer to 300c where you will get the desired effect. Alternatively, you can heat them on top of a direct flame on the hob or even barbecue and this direct heat will always achieve a slightly higher temperature still. Let us know how that goes and Happy Sizzling.

@@SteakStones Thank you for the grill recommendation, I was looking to buy a stone but was put off by the gas mark 9 limit of my oven (240c), knowing the grill can get it hotter makes things a lot better.

Does it break if you heat it fast with high temperature like salt blocks?
@SteakStones
@SteakStones 5 лет назад
Hi Ron, you're right that Salt Blocks are a little precious, but our Lava Stones can withstand direct heat without any risk of breakage. Only official SteakStones prodcucts come with this guarantee. Thanks, SteakStones

My stones have an odd taste off them, that I purchased from Steak Stones. Tries cooking steak from different stores on ceramic heat and gas stoves ...

As long as stones are fully washed from previous use and heated correctly, there will be no taste imparted from the stones, other than the natural flavours of your chosen steak.

How long does the stone keep its temperature?
@nickmetcalf6120
@nickmetcalf6120 2 года назад
Once fully heated the stone will retain a sizzling heat for 20-30mins. For a good sized Steak, you'll run out of meat before you run out of heat. Happy Sizzling!

Usually steak needs to rest for about 5 to 7 minutes after cooking in order for it to be juicy as possible before you serving it, using this method resting won’t work, correct? 😜
@nickmetcalf6120
@nickmetcalf6120 2 года назад
Generally when cooking a steak the heating method pushes the moisture to the centre of the steak and if you cut it straight away the moisture is lost rather than dissipating back through the steak. When you cook on the stone, the dry searing heat traps the moisture in and when you cut each piece you similarly sear all sides, so the moisture is trapped inside and the steak remains succulent. Hope that helps.

Hi Mike, we guarantee over 1000 uses per set (you'll get many more) so that works out 10p per serve which is way less than you would pay a fully trained Chef to perfectly cook a main dish. We're not trying to take the Chef's job, but they can then concentrate on exceptional sides and delicious sauces to accompany the prime cuts you serve sizzling on the stone. Please email dine@steakstones.com for more info and a quote. Happy Sizzling!

Big difference between granite and Lava in terms of heat retention and strength of stone, the Lava outperforming granite in every way.

Ok there is one thing that makes me uncomfortable here.... "heat the stones to 280-350C".... "Gloves rated to 350C" errrrrrrr, I like a little BREATHING ROOM on my ratings lol.... Especialy when it concerns upwards of 300C and my body...
@msc_1974
@msc_1974 Год назад
Makes me laugh telling you to heat the ovem to 300ºC +.... most ovens only go to 280ºC at best! Only the very high end expensive ovens go to 300ºC+
@nickmetcalf2315
@nickmetcalf2315 Год назад
The Oven is one of three ways we suggest you can heat the stone. If your Oven doesn't go up to the suggested temperature, you can always put the stone directly under the grill (broiler) and it will get up to operational heat. Thanks

@@nickmetcalf2315 Tried the grill (for over 2 hours) and couldn't get the stone to go over 230ºC. Also tried on a BBQ and over direct flame on a gas hob and that doesn't work either.
