Stealth B-52 Bomber electric bike review: 6,200 watts of PURE ADRENALINE 

I built my own eBike using a full suspension frame plus two 1000 watt hub kits, a duel 60v 30ah battery, independent duel controllers, misc extra add on components. With all wheel drive and weighing 86lbs it immediately accelerates to its max 46 mph which is limited by hub motor rpm since it’s direct drive. Even with hydraulic disc brakes I invested only $700 and it was so much fun to build myself. I would feel like a fool if I bought that Bomber for 13K. I do like the video footage you presented here. Nicely done. $500 light ROTFLMAO! C’mon Man.

Built mine in my living room and it’s pushing 13,400w, 2680wh!! Still have never unleashed all that scary power! Mine is on street tires for LA riding.

Very Cool review, not much on the RU-vid about these. Bad idea to ride it through the water, I see it died there, they don't like water. I loved these Bikes from the beginning, I saw them in 2011, blew my mind, so I got 2 of them. Black on Black number 226, top speed 63.5 mph, 1580 Wh, 87.6 Volts, Insane, but Fun! Rode it through water like you did, I thought I Broke it. Had to let it dry for 24 hours. Also, do not Peddle when changing Gears! Stop peddling completely, the gears will jam if don't. Also have an Army Green one, number 491. I have had them for 10 year, still riding them, battery's are getting low. Can't get the 87.6 Volt batteries anymore. As you know they changed the Voltage to 72 Volts, 50 mph, still fast enough. They Eat Brakes and Tires. That shows the Power and the Weight of these things. I have never gotten tired of them, I still get Butterflies in my stomach every time I ride. The first day I rode one, I did 63 Miles on a single charge, Ten years latter I can still get 30 miles or 50 km at 15 to 20 mph. Like any Gas Tank, the more you throttle it, the more gas you use!

I’ve wanted a B-52 ever since I saw it 7 years ago but for that price there soo many more cheaper options in the $2,500-$3,000 range on Ali Baba with a bigger battery, bigger motor, more range, and come with more accessories for the price of one. I currently have a 8000w v72 42a ebike in view, but the B-52 will always have a place in my heart!

Re: front headlights, they are brilliant but you have set them up very messy, the cord is there so you can attach the battery pack to the seat post, the battery pack actually has red LED rear lights on it so on the seat post it can act as a rear light too. You can also go to the effort of threading the cord through the battery pack to make it all pretty. Overall great bike and well worth the very expensive price tag. Nice work on the review.

It might be expensive but the power delivery of this bike is amazing. The battery inside the frame is so well secure to the frame. And wiring is very organized not tangle up like the Chinese imitation of the Stealth Bomber. The frame of the real Stealth Bomber doesn't flex like the cheap Chinese Stealth Bomber which is important because it affects the handling characteristic of the bike.

I've got one that is 72 volt 3000w at 80 amps it is super fast and super Torquay. I'm pushing almost 60 mile an hour on Speed 3, and I've only got $2,500 invested. So that B-52 is a big rip off as far as price goes.

It makes me so happy to think of all the rich people that could have so much fun on this bike!

Out of all the battery powered transportation I own (OneWheel XR, Tesla P85D, Tesla P100D with Ludicrous Plus), my B-52 Stealth Bomber is my all time favorite thing I own. It has provided years of reliable enjoyment and I find myself looking for errands to do, just so I can take it for a spin. I bought my Bomber # 305 used for 1/4 of the retail price and couldn't be happier.

This is really an expensive bike but I'm not worried about that..... because I own this construction company. Great review!

put a smaller rear sprocket on surron and you have the same thing for under $4000. Smaller though. And louder.

As an Industrial Designer, I would place this bike in the category of urban uglification project. It's riddled with straight lines, sharp angles and exposed screws, the hallmarks of a project / product that did not even include a Industrial Designer. Why not just attach a square bar stool to a V12 engine glued to a pogo stick? Seriously Stealth people, hire an Industrial Designer and learn the beautiful bio-mechanical benefits of melding ergonomics, form, and function. BTW, I have reinvented the bicycle as we know it. I wish this had torque sensing pedal assist. If too powerful at full wattage...you could just lower the wattage until comfortable. Torque sensing pedal assist is like driving a stick shift. So much more fun. Thanks for this very detailed review. Cheers😎👍

Great for a heavy-duty travel bike, pulling a serious foldout-caravan trailer in hilly terrains. I'm building one myself (articulated inline 3-wheeled combination) but with only 2x 250W motors. This Stealth bomber will go uphill while sleeping, what a beast.

25:25 I have a 750W fat tire bike, about 80 lbs. I go through disc brake pads every month. I guarantee with that bike you'll be paying for new pads every 2 weeks given its much higher speed and greater weight. You'll also need to get tire liners, or go tubeless if you can, because getting flats will be intolerable.

The sur-ron x has the same power and proper weight distribution you just need a smaller rear-sprocket to get more speed.

Fantastic video and Brent you really spent the time in the edit suit. Stealth are great bikes. I ride on a custom build Vector Typhoon frame and comparison everyday I chose my Vector Typhoon, over Stealth.

I'm used to a 450 to 550 lb Adventure bike or Dual Sport .. 112lbs should be quite nice

10.000 bucks for a slow bike that wont last 1 hour .cpold buy a ktm e motorbike for same money .6200w is roughly 7.5 hp buy a second hand crosser for 500 bucks and hav 50hp . syealth can get up steep hills and isent legal on any roads in the western world overpriced crap ..

This dude gives the accurate specs but I feel like he is hyping it up more for people who don’t know a lot about ebikes because you could make a 27kw mid drive ebike just like that one but with a 27kw motor driving the drivetrain near the petals not a motor in the wheel with a 72 volt 48ah and another 48 volt 25+ah battery attached to a rack in the back and it could go up to 100+ mph. Or you could do a 15kw hub motor that could do like 80-100+

Great review! It's like a beast! But price too high. and Please consider review delfast company electric bike. One of their model is the longest range performance. (380km per Single charge at 25km/h)

13k and it only has a 6.2kw motor. for that price I'd expect at least a QS 273 8kw motor which can run at a peak of 16kw. I building my own bike with the QS 272 5T and its gonna cost less than 5k.

The H-series motor is not the top of the line that Kenny at Crystalyte makes, The 5403 and the Crown motor are much more powerful, some guys drag race them at 110 mph :), one guy even set one on fire while on the dyno :) The Hubzilla motor can do 10,000 watts easily. Now if you really want a kickass ebike, 2 wheel drive, that will roxor your boxor's.... I've built two of them, first one I used a 5403 rear motor and a 5304 front motor ( not a typo ), the 53xx series came in front and rear motors. The 5403 is a rear only motor, but back then the batteries to power such a beast was just way to expensive. I currently ride a 2 wheel drive with Crystalyte 3540 series motors, I'm only at 36 volts cause I'm a cheap ass, but even at that low voltage and limited to 20 amps, I spin out the front wheel alot, 2 x 40 amp ebikes.ca controllers, 5 Lithium battery packs 15 amp hours each, so I'm about 1500 watt rear and about 750 watt front. I keep trying to convince Fork makers to make a set of forks that you can mount a motor into without modding it.... Luna cycles has one with 10mm axle drop out but it's only a single crown, i really want a set of dual crown I can mount a motor into. Yes even with two motors you can jump it easily, provided of course both motors weigh the same or it really skews the balance, I've 4 foot drops no problem but I only use extreme rims, Sun Double wide or 19 x 1.85 motorcycle rims, 12 or 10g spokes minimum.

For starters they dont start at 10kusd dude. If you getting charged 10k you getting ripped off by the importer. 5k usd new to 8k for the total top spec. They constantly get 3k usd 2ndhand here in aus. alot of hate for my bomber ebike but thats always from people who dont know how good it is. Ive ridden many ebikes and the only way stealth are going to stay ahead is to move to a 10kw model update or mid drive like the sur ron. But thats now elec motorbike territory. The stealth hasnt changed since 2012. The sur ron is the next get. It has pedal opitions if needed. However. Stealth has so many fake clones out that its brand has forever been tarnished. My next build will be a custom FUTR alpha or a sur ron with a 30kw motor.
