Made a video highlighting the exhaust on my 2019 Street Bob. The exhaust is made by Stealth Pipes, and I've had the pipes on for about a year. They're great pipes, check them out! Stealthpipesinc.com
Hey brother, love the pipe and one of the only vids on youtube for the m8!. Quick question, does it require a spacer for the mid controls? also, is that color tahitian teal?
Wow. This has me suddenly changing my mind after I’ve decided to go with two brothers for my FXBB. To me, this sounds better than a TBR. What’re your thoughts? Great video!
I like them a lot better than the TBR, I've had buddies that have issues with TBRs leaking and breaking over time. This pipe has lasted almost 20,000 miles with no issues! I'd go stealth if I were you.
They will still void your warranty if you have aftermarket parts and your engine. They can make the assumption that without their tuner your engine got messed up from the parts. So If I’m gonna put parts on it I’m gonna tune it with I want. If it’s something you’d want to do in shop take a trip to a shop in Arizona one of these things and get it dialed in. Stay safe and keep on riding ✌🏻
Putting an Air Cleaner and full exhaust won’t void your Harley warranty? It’s just the tune that will void the factory warranty unless it’s a Harley Screamin Eagle tune? I don’t get it...
If you keep your stock stuff, you can put it back on before you take your bike in. If you tune it with an aftermarket tuner, it marks your ECU permanently and will void your warranty.
Are you still running it with the stock tune? I'm really wanting to get new pipes on my 2020 lowrider S, but don't want to void the warranty and also live in California. I thought my dealer said if I use the harley tuner i would be ok, but said i absolutely needed to tune it after. These sound and look great btw!!!
Still running on stock tune for the same reason as you. 20k miles and 2 years old no issues at all. The Harley tuner could help, but in my opinion it’s just a way to get you to spend more.
Sounds dope n kilker.... i live in socal myself too n wondering do you ever get attention by Jonny law regarding noise Violation? It is terrible in my neck of the woods. Nice pipe though...
How long did it take for your order from start to finish? I ordered the exact same set from Steve for my 2020 Fxlrs!! I'm super stoked to put then on when they arrive.
I think I've got one friend with the TBR system on his bike. Most of my friends still run dynas so maybe I'll do an exhaust comparison for their bikes too.
How much heat does the pipe generate? Without heat shields is it noticeable or not really? Just bought a stealth pipe for my low rider s pretty stoked regardless!
I’ve honestly never felt the difference when riding, I think the heat shields are more for if you accidentally touch the pipe. But during riding I don’t feel the exhaust being hotter at all
@@bcelectricco the build time says 4 to 6 weeks.. it sucks I know but they're all made by hand! I just asked the same question I was curious if he got his earlier than that. I'm biting my nails now lol!
Thank God... been looking for this video for weeks. Just ordered one and didn’t have much to go off of sound wise but they had a good rep. Did I hear you say you didn’t tune it yet?? So it’s stock map?
Yeah! No tune so far, I didn’t want to void the Harley warrantee with an aftermarket tuner. I’ve had friends use the Harley tuner and not have great results, so I tried running it without a tune and I didn’t have any problems. Been running the stock map for over 10k+ miles and no check engine lights or loud deceleration pops. Hope this helps!
Jon Howard Very helpful thank you! I was worried about voiding the warranty but more worried about getting ran over by some old lady cause she couldn’t hear me on my Prius sounding Harley lol thought the tune was absolutely necessary but maybe not! I appeciate the reply, ride safe.
@@JonsMotorcycles tuner is been what's holding me u on either mufflers or a 2-1 pipe. I have 2020 FXBB. DID any of your friends add the pro tuner also? I'd like to add air cleaner also but not if can't be tuned.
It really depends on who you get at Harley. I believe if you use the H-D brand tuner and auto tuner you should be ok, but I'd check with your local dealer.
That’s absolutely false. Harley just like any other vehicle manufacturer would have to prove that’s what caused a failure. My dealer told me and I quote “You can do whatever you want to this thing (My 2021 street bob) just don’t put a different brand tune on it because that’s a pretty easy way to loose warranty work even in a court room, Harley was just sued because of denying warranty work” now obviously whatever you replace on the bike with another brand won’t be warranted by Harley der. And you can even do the work yourself. That was a statement from the service manager @ Desert Wind Harley, Mesa AZ
Normally they’re not as loud, really depends on the length of the pipe. Stealth is loud because it’s a shorter pipe and so is royal T. Thunder headers are long but very loud as well
I once put a Supertrapp 2 into 1 with open end cap on a bike but removed the ugly thing as it stiffled the exhaust gas flow...... I couldn't help but notice two things in your video; the first is that you don't blip the throttle on downshifting - You should as it helps the shift and hides that horrible 'clunk'; and the second is how much you have to twist the throttle to get the bike to accelerate. My 2010 Streetbob was like that before I rebuilt it to 113 inch and changed to carburettor - now the bike has so much more power - 130+ bhp and torque - and I hardly ever use more than 1/3rd throttle. unless I am 'getting on it' ... EFI just ruins the feel of a bike IMHO - but then I am in my 60's ... oh, and thanks for showing that power chart comparrison - my '06 XL1200R Sporty (with Hammerperf 1250 etc kit) has more power than that @ 87ftlbs and 97bhp ! ..... it's nice to know my Sporty is more powerful than an M8 - it leaves CVO twincams for dead..... hahaha, ride safe mate !
It's true, the carburetor bikes are much more responsive compared to the new ones. Also can't beat the exhaust smell and sound of those carbureted bikes! Ride safe
@@JonsMotorcycles My Dyna has S&S tapered mufflers that are almost straight through and the slide in the HSR48 carb rattles when it is closed..... exactly the same set up on my Sporty except that has a 45mm mikuni.
