I'm not sure how far you developed these since the video, but I had an idea for them. A limiting factor in besiege engines is how fast they can spin. The reason its not infinite is mainly due to the delay in sensing blocks, being 0.02 seconds apart from checks. Maybe if the torch was put on the crankshaft or mechanically driven like some sort of camshaft, it could run without sensor blocks and bypass this RPM limit.
i think there's a hard limit on how fast an unpowered wheel can spin, which is why there's the flywheel mod which doesn't have that limit and allows for much faster engines
@@RedNoise-hz5nh Oh. Unfortunately I don't much like that mod, I'll have to find a way around the resistance. I'm sure multiple wheels stacked or ball hinges can easily bypass that limit.
