Here's an VRC6 8-bit arrangement of the Steam Gardens/Wooded Kingdom theme from Super Mario Odyssey!
You might be wondering why I decided to revisit this track. When I covered this back in October of last year, it was after a 4-5 year haitus from using Famitracker. I felt that the cover I made last year was lacking in many areas, and I wanted to give it another go from scratch. so i did.
Here's the old version:

at first I was just appreciating how your sound design has changed over the last year, but once it hit about 2 minutes in when I stated to get blow away. Your mixing in this is masterful and really demonstrates how you've refined and fine tuned your skills. Here's to many more years of great remixes :)

Not only that that section at the 2 Minute mark, that's actually Tank Battle section involving the machine that is firing Bombs and you have to fire Tank shots to destroy its weak points just to open the gate to face the second boss of Steam Gardens!

Oooh what a remaster! It went from great to even greater! Also nobody includes the tank version it so GOOD! I especially like how the bass sounds in this over the first one. Thank you for doing this, it was totally worth it.

I like this remix very much. I think what differentiates this from the original is the usage of samples. Likewise, the entire mood of the recording, for me at least, is changed drastically, although much of the original's character is kept intact. If I may add, the wide variety of different pulse-widths used create an amazing atmosphere. The tasteful use of vibrato, while not necessarily accurate to games of the NES era, take the listening experience to another level.

There's an 8-bit version of this track in the game (as there is for most of the free-roam tracks), and I remember being rather underwhelmed by how little of the track they were able to capture. This is much, MUCH better. Nintendo, hire this person right now!

@Tribal island toe jammer You have to find the 2D area in Steam Gardens where it plays. It's kind of hidden, but you'll find it eventually if you're looking for all the moons. (Or I could tell you, I just don't want to ruin your exploration.)

Alternative titles: -Super Mario Oddysey but it's a Famicom game and Tim Follin did the arrangements -Steam Gardens Retro but it's made by HAL in 1995 instead
