Scenes recorded on Sunday August 18th, 2002, of steam locomotives 3801 & 3830 double heading on a tour to Moss Vale, including a cab ride on 3830 from Unanderra to Robertson.
Thanks for this. It has to be one of the best if not the best steam videos I have seen. Absolutely fantastic especially the long climb including the shots from the tender. I almost felt I was there breathing in the atmosphere which probably would not have done my asthma a lot of good. At 75 I do hope one day I can get to Australia and enjoy your railways and the heritage scene.
Great footage as usual. Nice to have the operational memories of 3801 & 3830 preserved (& hopefully to be repeated one day if 3830 gets its needed restoration).
@@oldmate3152It's rare today as 3801 is once again the only 38 running. Both 3830 and 3820 are static exhibits especially 3820 which appears will be static forever unless there's a change of direction regarding it's future.
Is the date correct. We were at Thirlmere at Steamfest time, March 2022 , and 3830 was on static display, thought to never run again in the near future. So I query 18th August 2022( my birthday)!
